the extra touches
the noise of the pool pump below our room, kept me awake a bit
We had a sea view room but found it too small
Great location, very nice staff and fabulous facilities
Two beds pushed together, one a little bit harder than the other. Also when I went to sleep there was a noise in the ceiling like rodents running around, very disturbing, had to put music on to go to sleep, when I explained to the receptionist she automatically dismissed it as noisy guests upstairs.
Everything! The spa was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly- Room service was super efficient!
I loved the hotel and my stay, the location, the view, staff all very good
Not having time to explore all the hotels facilties
Best scrambled egg in the world! My headline says it all
Stayed there for honeymoon in entering are room there was a heart made out of roses pettles on the bed and swans made out of towels it was a shame to move them but an amazing thing for them to do
The sevice in the main restaurant was not great waited bout an hour for water and noticed other tables were waiting to think it was down to very young staff that need a lot more training and room very stuffy at night
Excellent location, beautiful view, beautiful garden, nice room , very good super king size bed and nice staff for breakfast
Too many mistakes from staff leading to many discussion . To make it short, the hotel invoiced additional amount for dinner and the room knowing that we booked a half break formula. No mini bar in room for this kind of hotel!!!
It would seem the view would be the most outstanding attribute of the hotel, and it is wonderful. But it is matched by an outstanding staff who are genuinely interested in your needs.
Excellent sea view room Beautiful hotel
Staff not attentive at dinner times when busy. Did not get offered deserts & coffee etc. after meal Expensive drinks in hotel
Comfort facilities friendliness BREAKFAST!!!
Brown bath water! Maybe that's a free health spa extra !!
Lovely hotel decoy dated but staff, food and spa we're excellent
Staff were plentiful, efficient and professional. Concierge offered bag assistance as soon as I entered the hotel. Nice breakfast. Plenty of choice for dinner and also a Chinese and Indian restaurant a 10 min walk away. Free golf round if you have time!
The single inward facing room was quite small with just enough room for a single bed and space to walk around and a desk. Bathroom was nice and almost as big! Can't say it mattered as I was only there for one night though. I'd still go back.
We managed to upgrade to a sea view. It was a lovely room. We had a delicious meal in the evening in the Brasserie. Spa and pool were good too.
The downside of the upgrade was that there was building work going on in the room next door. A bit of drilling going on but it only affected us for about an hour each day. There was a big function going on but it didn't really affect our stay.
Good location, comfortable surroundings, friendly staff apart from one foreign gentleman who was rude!!
We understood it was Xmas season, however, being unable to use lounge in the evening due to a function and also our room over the disco was unacceptable! We were not informed of the disco prior to our arrival.
Comfort of room, friendliness of staff, food -variety & taste & presentation, spa facilities.
WiFi was on & off for reception. Hotel relied on BT Openreach and did not have its own hub.
This hotel has always been my favourite in this area, very clean and reasonably quiet. The service is usually excellent and you are always made to feel special!
Having stayed in hotel several times on business I booked a deluxe sea view expecting a direct sea view. However on this occasion we had a side room which was fine but I was disappointed as this was a special trip. Also as it was Christmas time and many parties were happening in the hotel we had to eat in the taste brasserie and not in the Bay View which is far nicer. If I had known this at the time I would not have booked. We also felt the meal in the taste brassiere was very rushed. Also at breakfast on our second day we were shown to a table tucked away in a corner when there was hardly anyone else in there. We struggled to get in and out. Just seemed really odd.
The staff were excellent, the facilities are very good and the whole atmosphere is classy and welcoming.
The staff are excellent. The place is spotless attention to detail is great x upgraded us to a suite which was a bonus . can't wait to return.
The hotel was very nice and comfortable majority of the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
My wife and I felt segregated as we had a room without a sea view when we came down for breakfast we wanted a table with a sea veiw but the restaurant manager said they were for the guests with a more superior room but as there were only 15 guests all told stay at the hotel it was obvious what he was trying to say but my wife made it quite clearly the that we were upset with his rude and fobic attertude, but on the second morning he showed us to a table by the window and we said why? If it wasn't good enough yesterday why now but he would not comment, this just confirmed our beliefs.
Sea views out of world! Spa is just perfect
The head wait staff was not very happy when he realised we are not going to order any alcohol for our meal by the dinner Sorry we are non drinker and let us choice what we want to drink. The next morning he remebered to us he escorted to our table without a smile on his face.
Lovely rooms, bed very soft though. Amazing sea views, had a free upgrade so we had robes, chocs, fruit in the room etc and couldn't fault it. Spa was lovely and quiet when we went. Food brilliant, good choice and quick service.
The hotel is down a road with lots of speed bumps, bit of a pain! One restaurant manager wasn't very friendly or helpful. Our check in was ok, would have been nice if the receptionist told us where the lift was and details about the restaurants and spa etc.
