I booked through booking.com and as such was immediately committed to a booking with a deposit deducted from my credit card. I then received a "courtesy" e-mail from the proprietors the tone of which I felt was over the top with various rules and regulations for the property, including the requirement to pay in full on arrival, something which I have never experienced before in many visits to B&Bs worldwide. Additionally I was then informed of a 1.8% charge for paying by credit card.
Breakfasts also let down this establishment, with one slice of wafer thin toast provided per guest (even for somebody who was only having toast for the meal), although more was provided on request. Similarly, a pot of tea for two meant precisely two, smallish cups, with the water in the pot seemingly measured out to the last drop.
Room 2 is probably as impressive a bedroom as I have had in a B&B, spacious, with a seating area giving a partial seaview, immaculately clean and well decorated with a large comfortable bed.
Toiletries were generous with a regular supply to help ourselves to as required on the corridor outside, which also applied to the tea and coffee supply.
