The privately owned Carpenters Arms is a brand new hotel with a reputation as a high-standard gastro pub, producing great food and serving customers in a warm, friendly manner. The rooms are all new and designed to appeal to the professional traveler. They all have private bathrooms, LCD screens and Aqualisa Quartz power showers and are furnished to a high standard. The team of chefs will prepare your breakfast to give you a great start to the day. There is a fantastic terrace at the front and rear of the building and a lovely beer garden to the side. The room was tastefully furnished, with a fantastic view onto open fields. The bed was extremelly comfortable, and the food was delicous. We particularly liked the gastro pub atmosphere. And, last but not least, the very helpful staff who made our stay most enjoyable.

Comfortable Bed, large room and good extensine food menu freshly cooked Having to pay for breakfast on top of room rate. Rates should reflect Breakfast included even if this means increasing them slightly

Staff extremely good and attentive. Charged £80.00 when my booking was for £70.00, no explanation! Booking in at the bar made complaining problematic.

The food was both excellent and plentiful. The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was a generous size, with a good sized bathroom. We enjoyed our experience very much and won't hesitate to return when next in the area.

This is a good pub with an excellent kitchen and good food. My room was close to a main road and had no double glazing so traffic noise was a problem for me. Also, it was above the public toilet downstairs so I also got noise from the hand dryers. The bathroom, whilst modern, clean and stylish was too dark with only two spotlights leaving the toileet and washbasin in shadow.

I have nothing but the highest praise for The Carpenters. It is a lovely place just the right distance from Tonbridge. The staff were first class from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, bright and spotless. The rooms and bathrooms are very tastefully done. The food is lovely although they could do with varying the menu occasionally. Highly recommended and we will return

The bar had a nice traditional feel, welcoming, good menu. Comfy bed. Clean. Still got air lock problems in pipes, so shower didn't work, but manager sorted it easily as it appears there is a knack!!!

Geat food and very comfy spotless room. Bed a littel soft but that's just my taste. Our table at dinner was a little chilly as opposite door but not major issue and we didn't complain as food and drink was lovely and we could have moved to bar later but decide to go to room and chill out.

We stayed at The Carpenters Arms on the night of our wedding and it was just perfect. Simple but classy with a great shower and really comfortable bed. In the morning the service was incredibly friendly and the breakfast superb. We loved it!

Excellent service, the staff were very helpful and polite, the food/restaurant was superb and the size, decor and cleanliness of the room was very good. Im am a light sleeper and so was slightly concerned regarding the rooms being above the pub but it was very quiet due to it being a gastro pub. Thank you
