Email welcome from Hosts to acknowledge booking, introduce themselves & suggest places to eat. Overall ambience of House. Size & facilities of well prepared room. Being greeted with a glass of wine! Real coffee in the room. Size of bath towels. Breakfast choices & good selection.
Tea cups in the room-would prefer a mug!
Absolutely beautiful, great spot with views of the marketplace and castle, gorgeous decor, amazing food, excellent service. Well worth the visit.
Had a beautiful stay, even though it was one night, we had a private in room tub with roaring open fire and luxury 4 poster bed, we had beautiful views over Richmond from our room. There were plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy and great scenery around the local area. The staff were happy and helpful and assisted with little extra requests without an issue. I would definitely stay again.
The only thing I could criticize would be the WiFi, the signal was barely one bar and so weak it kept dropping off. Pretty much unusable, but in an old house with thick walls I can imagine it's difficult to get full signal throughout.
The owners, the room, the welcome drink, the bed time chocs and the breakfast
little luxuries bath in the bedroom - very decadent gorgeous breakfast
Lovely welcome, great location and luxurious room. Many thanks Lucy n Ian.
What a superb venue, can't fault anything!
the genuine way in that we were treated. nothing was a trouble in being able to help and not being in your face at the same time.
nothing we jid not like.
Early check in. Friendly welcome. Great location. Spotless rooms. Excellent breakfast.
TV service kept dropping out but this was probably caused by poor signal strength. The accommodation was reasonably ok for one person but probably somewhat cramped for two. Being from Australia I am used to stand up showers and not sit down in the bath type showers. It was a warm evening which necessitated keeping the windows open onto the main road below. It's my fault that I'm a light sleeper.
Central location and the charm and quirkiness of the building. Breakfast gorgeous...quality fresh produce.
wonderful warm welcome. Glass of wine when we arrived. Gorgeous bedroom- very romantic. Great location. Breakfast was delicious
wifi was a bit weak in our room
We stayed in the Richmond Suite for 2 nights, and it was Perfect, fantastic room . My wife loved it ,also lovely breakfast and great hosts Lucy & Ian. Would definitely stay here again. Previous guests have mentioned the parking which is a pain in Richmond period. so don't let it put you off staying here.
What a fantastic find, stay here for that little bit of luxury.
Everything about this place is perfect, location, the house, the rooms, the breakfast, the glass of wine on arrival, the hosts Ian and Lucy who couldn't do enough for us, the goodnight chocolates......wonderful!! Thankyou for making our stay so relaxing.
Parking was a bit tight but always managed to get in.
Fabulous friendly welcome, the room was lovely and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Hosts Lucy and Ian are charming and nothing is too much trouble, Will definitely book again and would highly recommend to anyone planning a stay in Richmond..
Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, well located, with lovely little personal touches. Definately recommend it.
Staff, (attentive, and helped with reprinting of an airline reservation) location, attention to detail, decor, breakfast, bath tub, terry robes, greeted with tea (after a long days hike),
Charming historic Georgian town house, beautifully maintained, excellent breakfast, friendly and obliging owners
Problems with shower
Friendly people, good breakfasts and comfortable room.
Steep stairs. Parking ok, but limited to what is available publicly.
Would go back again.
Lucy and Ian have done a fantastic job of providing tasteful and luxurious comfort in their house. We stayed in the Richmond Suite, which has all the romantic charm promised on the website, as well as being appointed with good furnishings, good linens and a great bath. But the welcome made it all so much better than is common with other establishments, warm, friendly, discrete and so helpful. And to top it all off the breakfast was superb, prepared with soul and love just like the rest of the service. A great stop on the way to the North, and next time we will spend a few days to enjoy the area as well as this wonderful B&B!
Very welcoming owners, great location, very comfortable room.
It's was fantastic. Our second stay and by no means our last.
Very nice room good breakfast
No shaving point! Tv kept breaking down considering this was supposed to be luxury accomm I was not satisfied charge was £120 per night more than I would normally pay
