The bar; the room decour.
big, nice, clean room/ bathroom; comfy bed and nice sheets; staff was very understanding and we were able to check in after 00.30; traditional British breakfast was good; good parking, just in front of the building
during the night I could hear some vehicles passing by the inn but otherwise it was silent
Great views from the back of the room, which was also a very good size with a decent sized bathroom and great pressure in the shower. The evening meal was a bit basic, but the breakfast was much better.
The pub was in need of refurbishing.
Location was good for me Staff mostly helpful Room excellent Good Food
Bar Staff bit 'offish' Not much room around Bar to relax
very clean, staff very helpful and very up to date, great value for money
As a wheelchair user, my only gripe is the shingle driveway, it makes getting about very difficult. Maybe a slabbed area designated for disabled drivers, near the very disabled friendly room would make this perfect
Comfy beds Clean and airy room Standard of food
The location was right and the hotel provided what it said it would do.
The rooms are separate to the bar (etc) so they are quite, beautiful views out from the room. Lovely room, nice facilities, excellent spacious shower. Would happily stay again.
Room not dark enough, woken early by daylight getting in, need to bring my eye mask.
Well built separate room block, very spacious. Nice breakfast and friendly staff
Beds were not very comfortable. Cigarette butts outside the rear doors.
Easy to get to. Attentive staff. Delicious meals with good service. Room and bed very good.
Minor gripe was traffic noise from A41.
Great Breakfast Peaceful location
Restaurant and choice of food was very good. Rooms well equipped and comfortable
Check in from 17:30 too late
Clean and tidy, good location for our needs. Friendly staff and good food.
A little bit cold at night unless you left the fan heater running.
The hotel is very friendly, nice to see locals using both the bar and restaurant. Lovely roaring fire to greet you on arrival. Vivien.
Everything apart from poor wifi signal

A spacious and comfortable, motel style room. The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was very good. Overall, very good value for money
The room would have benefited from another easy chair. The breakfast room could have been a little warmer
Accommodation clean, large room and lovely views over Shropshire countryside at rear. Quiet considering close to A41. Food good.Good location for travelers as roadside and reasonably priced.
Needs makeover and clean up around grounds close to accommodation. The pub section on entering had food smells and looked shabby which needs improving.
They were so accommodating that even though the restaurant closed on sunday night at 8.30 they kept it open for me as I was arriving nearer to 9pm
There was no outside light when I went up the outside steps to my room and no handrail. Difficult in the dark and the pouring rain.
Staff Food Rooms
Roadside noise Main pub décor tired.
