Good location in the centre (and close to parking facilities) and decent facilities & breakfast.
Willing staff, but not always very efficient. Though it was fairly warm outside, airco was far too strong inside (chilling). Double glazing windows quite complex to operate.
Friendly staff, excellent food, nice and calm room, very well equipped (iron, hairdryer, sewing kit, kettle, tea & biscuits, etc)
We had the twin bedroom with non ensuite (private) shower room. The shower room was nice but the shower was a bit narrow. This was OK for me but might be too narrow for a bigger person.
The staff went over and above for us, much appreciated! A bike-friendly hotel :-)
very good location and excellent atmosphere in the evening around the hotel
Friendliness of staff
Breakfast wasn't good. Had to find our own cutlery, the coffee was undrinkable and one piece of toast. Had to wait to get in when arriving back late evening.
We loved the staff, they were so friendly and helpful and we would stay there again.
Our room was on the 3rd floor and we could not open the window, there was an overhead fan in the room but it was very noisy and so we had to turn it off and this made sleep impossible because it was so hot and stuffy.
Staff were very accommodating from minute we stepped in.
Room was hot and fans did not do enough to cool it. Everyone complains about night club but two floors up we did not notice it.
The location was superb staff very attentive clean and a good place to eat as well as sleep
Door locks need to be made more user friendly. Elevator. Not accommodating when dealing with luggage just to small
Exceptionally friendly staff
Noisy nocturnal celebrations spilling out back so that secondary glazing must be used. Very stuffy. Ceiling fan helps a bit.
The room was on the top floor and extremely hot without air conditioning, just with a ceiling fan. I spent a very bad and hot night. Staff is very friendly.
On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and our luggage taken to the lift All the staff were brilliant and helpful . Having run a hotel for 11 years it was a pleasure to see that the staff were keen to help us have a good short break Thank you
The staff were very good, both in the hotel side of things and the bar. The pressure in the shower was amazing!! Only a couple of mins walk away from a decent car park. Back there next week so can't be that bad!
Not perfectly clean. Found a sewing needle on the floor and some bits of the room needed a bit of a refresh. No spoons in room. TV was a little bit small, could do with a 32in The rooms do really need aircon. Perhaps as an addition to a deluxe room.
Comfortable beds Clean Excellent breakfast
No toiletries Very small shower cubicle Not ensuite (but we did know that when we booked)
Staff we're pretty attentive and responsive
Breakfast was a bit chaotic with orders not being fulfilled. Bit of a bad hair day.
Comfy bed Well sound insulated
Toilet was separate - not ensuite but not really a big deal
The staff from the check-in thru asking questions and getting assistance with local sites were very pleasant and accommodating. Also the ceiling fans in the room are wonderful especially for someone used to air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Although parking is not onsite it wasn't too far away and was a pleasant walk.
Nothing really. Enjoyed my brief overnight stay.
Other than breakfast, was very impressed with everything at the hotel. Every detail was covered & at a good price for city centre hotel.
Breakfast service was rather slow & when I asked about delay, it did then com quite quickly but bacon was too hard & poached eggs rather sloppy having just been dropped into water. Not the best method.
If you are for partying all night this is the place for you. If you prefer sleeping in the night avoid this place as much as you can. The noise is unbearable the street is full of loud people during the whole night and morning.
no phone in rooms----hard to sleep from noise in courtyard
Tony and his staff at the Cathedral Hotel kept us going, literally. They were so nice, so helpful, so encouraging about driving on the wrong side of the road and what to do about our rental car. They really went above and beyond the call of duty of a hotel staff. I can't say enough good things about how Tony runs this hotel and the people he hires to staff it. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salisbury, and I definitely recommend the Cathedral Hotel.
The location of the Cathedral Hotel was ideal. Close proximity to the Cathedral and shopping. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. A bit noisy as it was a Saturday night but we were warned in advance and took the chance. The benefits easily outweighed any negatives. Would stay again.
Easy walk to the Cathedral and shops.
Unseasonably hot weather made the rooms hot and stuffy beyond what could be overcome by the ceiling fans in the rooms.
The hotel is in a good central position and the hotel has Very clean rooms .staff were friendly and helpful ,would stay here again .
Little bit of noise from hotel disco and outside .
Everything about our stay was fantastic. The staff were magnificent, with a special thank you to Andreea and Anna, and to Poppy and a massive cheers to Stevie who made sure we didn't get into too much trouble!!! (He'll know what I mean) Breakfast was superb, couldn't fault anything about our stay. Will be back.
Very comfortable room, breakfast very good and extremely polite and helpful staff
Problems with the lift meant I had to carry my bags to the top floor. Quite expensive against comparative hotels for what amounts to rooms above a bar. No residents lounge.
