Hotel had new ownership about 8 months previous that had done a ton of work to make it a nicer and friendlier place. Wonderfully helpful and kind. Great place to stay in Salisbury. |

The staff were extremely helpful with tourist and city information. Hotel and restaurant were pleasant, even though no lift. Even though they warned me, there is indeed a garden pub which continued to be lively until late on Friday. |

The location was great and the hotel was very well finished. Rooms were good size and very clean and well presented. Unfortuantly we did not know that this hotel was the happening place on a saturday night and the place was full with people and loud music downstairs until 2am. If you were on the front of the hotel you then got all the noise as people left. Ok if your young!!! Also we had to wait over 30 mins for our breakfast (there were only 4 others in the dining room). The breakfast was well cooked but there was def a lack of staff. |

A very good standard of hotel and very central for the City. A pretty good all round performance and attentive staff. Somewhat noisy because of a large bar and dancing on a Saturday evening. It was a bit open plan for eating there was no specific dining room. |

The Cathedral Hotel provides some small things that makes the stay in this hotel much more comfortable. These include an iron for a tidy outfit, a heated trail for the towels and a seperated switch for the ventilator to make it indepedent of the light in the bathroom. All these things show me a design concept which have the guests in mind. The accounting process of Cathedral Hotel is too complicated. For this trip, I need my credit card 3 times to settle a single payment. First by the booking in internet, which requires my credit card number together with the security code. With these iuputs, basically the hotel can directly debit my credit card without problem. Each time by check-in and check-out, I use to show my credit card to the reception and to provide my PIN-code as well. I do not see why the process can not be simplified to make the process more user-friendly. |

Being on the third floor was quiet enough, just was not told there was no parking attached to the hotel. The staff could not explain adequately that I could top up the meter at night to cover the first hour of the morning. Breakfast was very very slow and disorganised and the scrambled egg was cold when we got it. |

The room was really nice and comfortable (but with a small bathroom), the staff very polite and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere at the bar. We were asked for a credit card number, which was checked for the money we would have to pay - despite the fact that we paid by cash! |

Dinner in the lounge The room was far too close to loud, very late-night music. Further, plumbing noise from the public toilets was relentless and unpleasant. Sleep impossible. Next morning, staff were understanding but could not offer a more suitable room. Checked out. |

Good value room and breakfast and city centre location Bar on ground floor not really appropriate for a hotel .I would not want to take a young family through it to get to the rooms in the evening . Poorly sound proofed wndows over busy street. |

The rooms were pleasent and the accomodation decor was tasteful and nice. The website did not mention the fact that the accomodation is above a night club and that to get to the accomodation on an evening you had to walk through a crowded nightclub. |

Pleasant & helpful staff, reasonably priced food & drink, in a very centrally located hotel, if wishing to visit Salisbury town or area. The hotel has no car park, which is the norm for many city centre hotels, but it is an inconvenience. It also lacks a lift, but the helpful staff will carry your luggage, but its not the place for anyone with limited mobility. |

The facilities and bedroom were great! Staff are so, so helpful and kind. Nice bar and great food. Fab locationn for sightseeing! Great! It is boiling hot and the windows open on to the main road. Unfortunately, this hotel is also a nightclub/pub with bouncers on the door, so if you go at the weekend and need a window open, you will not sleep a wink until 4am. Also, a full English breakfast is included in the price but if you are travelling and have an early start, don't expect anything cooked before 9am. There is coffee, bread, jam and cereals from 7am. |

We had 3 rooms. One was very nice, while 2 were on the small side and had to share the bath with each other. |

Nice location, near to the city centre. Friendly staff. The location of the telly on the wall made it a bit hard to watch, but that's of minimal concern. |

central location good for exploring Salisbury. Our room was not ready on our arrival (two hours after check-in time) and we were made to lug our bag up to the top floor, then were left waiting on the landing before being told to go back down again. Furniture in the room was shabby in places. Breakfast not laid out for early departure, despite staff promising it would be. |
