Room very comfortable. Best shower I've ever seen/used. Doors and bar closed at 10:30pm with no way of residents getting a drink from the bar. Not impressed with Guest list with room numbers and prices paid being left on counter at reception. Very disappointed dining room was closed for evening meals.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. On arrival they upgraded me from a standard room to the Dinefwr Suite - the best room in the hotel! The suite was very luxurious - a huge bed with a lovely view down the valley - a huge bathroom - I couldn't fault it. The perfect retreat for a romantic break - just a shame I was on business! Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and service was extremely quick given that the hotel was full. The main restaurant was closed on Monday/Tuesday evenings. The bar menu was a bit limited but we found a nice pub down the road for an evening meal so it wasn't a problem.

Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Really spotless rooms and lobby, despite the roadworks right outside. Quality furnishing and fittings throughout. Reasonably priced food. “Will the roadworks go on all night?” “No they’ll stop at 2300.” “Oh when did they start?” “January.” With rooms overlooking late night resurfacing work, some compensatory gesture would have been nice, espescially as the ongoing inconvenience was not mentioned on the website. (Free coffee or snack, or reduced meals.) Otherwise a great little hotel.

On arrival we were delighted to be told of our upgrade to a beautiful suite and escorted by the receptionist. My husband went to reception to report a faulty fan in the room. A replacement fan was brought to the room immediately by the receptionist. Thank you. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was lovely, free wifi, what else would one need!!. The breakfast was also very good with friendly staff. Will definately return to this hotel as it is the best we have found in the area, and can recommend it to anyone.

Our room , Roche was very sweet and cosy, breakfast was excellent with a lovely waitress too. The receptionist who 'welcomed 'us left a lot to be desired in the friendly stakes, her name was Melanie and at first she was quite rude but once we spoke up she became much more helpful which is a shame as it was our first impression and has coloured our view of the Cawdor slightly. Our daughters room,Llanstephen was not as cosy and was rather poorly decorated .

Very helpful and friendly staff who offered free water when requested. As with many hotels, the room was overheated but could be cooled by leaving the window open

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Melanie was very approachable and remembered to do the things she said she would and was very helpful. All the staff seemed very friendly and approachable. Nice feel to the hotel. Seems clean and the food was good. Rooms are nice with lots of fresh towels and they did not stint on supplying the little things in the room like flannels, soaps, tea, coffee and a hairdryer. No lift.

The friendly staff, excellent size room with the best shower head I have ever come across. Although the restaurant was closed on a Monday night the meal at the bar was of very good quality and value. Breakfast offered a good selection of cooked dishes as welll as fruit, cereals etc.. I fully intend staying here again when next in the area. My only dislike is the walk to the car park up behind the hotel, I would imagine it to be unpleasant on a cold wet morning but you can bring the car round to the front of the hotel to load your baggage.

nice old feel to the building, Stayed there before just over two years ago - we found that it had gone downhill since then. Evening meal wasn't what it was, we also had a bit of lunch and there was definitely cut backs !!
