Score from 175 reviews Very good
Absolutely excellent breakfast, brilliant wetroom, great location and very convenient for Bath. Host was very friendly.
Don't like to give any negatives - but we were slightly disappointed to find breakfast was in our room and therefore did not experience the usual chat with the hosts and other guests - hence missed the traditional B&B atmosphere. Lack of a dressing table and mirrors in the bedroom for doing hair / make-up.
The Cedars very much deserves 10 out of 10 in all areas. Would not hesitate to stay again.
There truly is nothing to dislike
The hosts Damian and Gilly were lovely and willing to help you out with anything you need. We didn't manage to wake up for breakfast but everything else was spot on. We would highly recommend staying here.
This is a stylish comfortable b&b where your accomodation is modern but still welcoming. Gilly and Damien are excellent hosts and the breakfasts are very tasty. Its outside of bath so quieter and a good base for exploring the South of England. We will be going back !
Beautifully laid out room with table and chairs and lovely bathroom. Outdoor eating area was nice too. Although we didn't use it the owner pointed out there was a bus stop right outside the B&B that took you directly into Bath, which can be tricky for parking so this would be excellent on busier days. The breakfast was freshly prepared and you certainly don't need lunch afterwards!
If I had to make one small comment it would be for larger towels. Not really an issue though!
Everything was great. Even the bathroom is amazingly new and modern. (Not so evidently expected from a semi-rural setting). Wi-fi is much faster than the regular hotels.
You just need to make sure that you remember the limited check-in time. and the best is to come by car
Location was good, 10 mins easy drive away from Bath. Room was spacious, clean and practical. Had plenty of choices for breakfast, the full english set us up for the day. The hosts were lovely and even left us a bottle of wine in our room when we mentioned in conversation it was our wedding anniversary.
the room was very warm but we were provided with a fan.
I cannot add much to Lee of Kenthurst. We faced a 5 hour drive the next day and explained that we would forego breakfast The host would have nothing of that and supplied all the ingredients, cereal milk ,tea, coffee, bread, condiments etc for a truly hearty start .
The owners where friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was huge, furnished great Lovely modern bathroom with a powerful shower So much choice for breakfast and at great quality Good upto date Selection of DVD's to choose from - great touch! Can grab the bus just outside the door directly into Bath, no need to pay or worry about parking
Everything was great, the only slight niggle was the WIFI, it was really really slow.
Modern, clean large room, lovely shower, lovely facilities, large bed, small fridge, large selection of DVD to watch ,location great for Bath.free on site parking, Bus stop right outside. Every fifteen minutes. Pub next door fabulous for food, great pub. Damien and Gilly lovely couple.
Damien and Gilly have thought of everything to make your stay at the Cedars a most comfortable and memorable experience. The rooms are private, stylishly appointed and scrupulously clean. The bed and the sofa bed are comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. The room is equipped with a bar fridge and guests are provided fresh milk for tea and coffee. It really is touches like this that make all the difference to your stay. A thoughtfully provided folder which includes details of the bus timetable into the centre of town makes it easy to enjoy sight seeing and dining in Bath without the worry of parking. A plentiful continental breakfast is provided, with Gilly and Damien coking hot breakfasts to order (if you can fit it in!) They are excellent hosts- welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. I would most definitely recommend the Cedars to anyone planning a trip to Bath
I found the facilities and set up was the best I've had at a bed and breakfast. Excellant.
Everything. Fantastically crafted room, which would be at home in any of Bath city centre's illistrious hotels. Helpful and affable owners. A real gem.
Spacious well organised contemporary accommodation with easily accessed shower. Lovely to wake up to the view of the day through the skylight. Helpful, knowledgeable courteous unobtrusive hosts. Regular bus at the door gave respite from parking hassles in Bath.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay thanks to you, Gilly. I would defately stay there again.
Staff were great, friendly and very helpful!
It was a perfect location without the hassle of being in a busy city but within easy access. Breakfast in the room was fab.
Everything, hospitality was perfect and we felt completely at home.
That we had to check out!!!
Fantastic little b&b. Lovely, friendly owners who couldn't do any more to makes sure you had a good stay... Very yummy breakfast
Nothing... Only thing I would say is that apart from a bed sette in one of the rooms there are no twin bed facilities
The room was spacious and the breakfast could be taken in the room.
Hard to find a thing we didn't like about the Cedars but if we have to name a thing, it would be the traffic noise coming of the bus stop in the morning.
Everything, the breakfast was excellent quality and choice.
I would say this is a best place I have stayed during our trip in UK: hosts Damien and his wife are very welcome, room is very clean, all nice details were there - like slippers and bathrobe, body lotion and many other small things for bathing, breakfast is very tasty, fresh and varied - apart usual english breakfast there was option for the other one (which is rare for UK), its also great that its served in the room and you can eat privately watching TV
Ideal location to get to bath! Hopped on and off the bus just outside! Pub serving fab food next door too! Clean modern and lovely owners! Breakfast excellent quality and plenty of it! No complaints! Recommend bizarre bath comedy tour one evening! Very funny! Will be visiting again!
We had a great, relaxing stay at the Cedars over the weekend in Bath although the weather was not so cooperative. We enjoyed the quiet, very comfortable large room with simple modern furniture and nice lighting, good wifi connections. The super rain shower is the best we have experienced in the entire trip of England, a far cry from the wimpy shower in a 5 star hotel of London. The location in Bathford is convenient to find and within 15 minute drive to center of Bath. We have no problem finding parking on Sunday where parking is free all day. Damien delivered to our room a full English breakfast which was way more food than I can eat but everything was delicious, especially the fresh eggs. We would highly recommend to stay there but one needs a car to get there. Free parking in the front court is very convenient too.
The Crown Pub restaurant next door served an decent fish and chips, but not the best we have tasted in England.
