Absolutely faultless visit. Cannot praise the house enough. And a quite stunning location.
The peace and tranquility in a very friendly B & B. Location is amazing, and nearby pub was fantastic, with great atmosphere, food, and real ales. Colin and Sarah have done a great job.
The extremely narrow one-lane roads, with hedges either side, are very picturesque, but totally nerve-wracking, with passing nodes few and far between. On the plus side, though, the roads are quiet, and we didn't actually meet any on-coming traffic.
If you are looking for somewhere in the middle of nowhere for a peaceful getaway this is your place. Room was comfortable with everything you can expect from a B&B
The location was stunning. The facilities were excellent. Colin and Sarah were excellent hosts. Food was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Celyn to my family and friends. If I am ever in the Brecon Beacons area again I would stay here.
Absolutely nothing to add here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable. The hostess was welcoming and accommodating.
Great for rest and relaxation, Colin did a marvelous job at breakfast, conversation with other guests during breakfast, panoramic view.
One way narrow road, especially if you're driving at night
The owners were great Location was great.
Very welcoming hosts. Beautiful location and very quiet. Facilities excellent. and a cosy firelit guest lounge to return to in the evenings. Fabulous breakfast including scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Would recommend a stay here.
slightly off the beaten track but well worth it. How else would you get such lovely views, and peace and quiet.
The views were spectacular
The roads into the property but not a big dislike as we just had really wet and windy weather making the roads a bit hazardous.
Views (apart from the rain)
Hard to find
Location, hosts, breakfast, the spectacular views everywhere you looked. The friendly dog at the farm.
The fact that we only had time to stay for just one night.
I would highly recommend staying here if you want to relax and enjoy the scenery.
We love the beautiful cosy room surrounded by mountains , it was perfect
There was nothing we didn't like
A lovely house in a very peaceful and picturesque location. Amazing scenic views!
The property can be a challenge to find, particularly in the dark; But in my opinion this just adds to the adventure! Described as pet friendly, however, we were asked to leave our dog in the car or the utility room so we ended up leaving her behind with family. So perhaps not as pet friendly as suggested.
Warm and friendly atmosphere - more like being a house guest than a customer. Lovely room Excellent views Great breakfast
Beautiful surroundings Considerate hosts Excellent breakfast with local produce Spacious and comfortable rooms in beautiful house Easy parking
waking up to the idyllic peaceful mountain scenery the best ever and the morning looking out from the dining area across to the sugar loaf superb
the food was great , the staff lovely the place itself was very clean and very comfortable indeed -and very very good value for money.. I couldn't be more pleased
Rooms very clean with nice little touches in bathroom
Location, friendly family run, nice room, value for money, all round really great.
Room, owners, bed, breakfast. Dragon Inn for drink and food
Creaky flooring for new house.
Setting and views
Bit hard to find 6miles from town although some eateries closer if game to drive back roads in dark
Very helpful host. Excellent room, beautiful location, excellent breakfast in company of other guests. Dinner in nearby pub.
Were not aware that directions to the property would come by email. We missed the email and had difficulty finding the property. Not being able to pay by Visa was a minor inconvenience.
Staff very friendly and helpful, we arrived really late, and they were still up waiting for us. Nice breakfast, beatifully located, impressive bathroom (superior suite)
Directions on the website to find the location are rather difficult if you don't know how to get there. Postcode doesn't help, and there is no network in Wales - definitely look up the way to get there, before you're there. Also, we stayed on the first floor, and the walls and ceiling are very think - we could hear the people above us walking around half the night and early in the morning. No problem if you're a fast sleeper, but definitely nothing if you wake up easily.
Beautiful house and view and lovely host
