Very welcoming and comfy rooms. Great breakfast
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I also liked towel, bathrobes and especially soaps.
It was very difficult to find and to get to the place with our small car. There are no shops or restaurant within walking distance.
Views were outstanding, house was very nice, helpful staff, very clean and great food
The owners were incredibly friendly and the accommodation is set in the most gorgeous and peaceful location. We loved our stay and will be back!!
Very clean. Nice bathroom. Great view. Nice garden terrace.
Very narrow roads to reach the b&b.
Bossy notice-please take your shoes off. Architect boobed on bedrooms-you bang your head on the wall when making tea and, if you are a man, when you are using the toilet. Not thought out properly. Owner friendly, but we would not return.
The B&B was very well done, lovely bright, tastefully decorated room, with all facilities, fantastic views. The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.THey recommended somewhre to eat for dinner and booked a table for us. It felt very reomte but was only 10 minutes from the nearest town.
It was a bit tricky to find, up a very narrow road.
Very welcoming, terrific food (meats at breakfast the best ever), and very clean.
Difficult to locate, but once there we really loved it!
The decor, furnishings and general finnish were of a very high standard. The food was very good and a most genial host.
Having to take off ones shoes on entering the house. The toilet in the ensuite was badly positioned.
Every thing especially the welcome of Colin and daughter Sarah who we shall always consider as friends
Nothing at all !!
Lovely peaceful place, near my home town of Abergavenny. Great hosts and brilliant breakfast. Looking forward to our next stay.
Very peaceful location though a little difficult to find. Rooms are very comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Awesome shower. Excellent breakfast. Stunning views.
It was a bit difficult to find.
Very hard to find.
Friendly hosts Wonderful views.
Beautiful setting in Brecon Beacons; great food and service; Sarah and Colin are a joy. Wish we could have stayed a week...
very quite and lovely t view
The scenery was so pleasant and refreshing. We were sat at the one table for breakfast, which was unusual, however, we were soon chatting freely with the others. Our host had a sense of humour, and was keen to relate and please
Our room was on the top story with small windows which restricted the view. The stairs make carrying luggage a bit awkward. We didn't receive the directions of how to get there before we set out, and it wasn't easy to find with the GPS and enquiries. Try to book a little earlier and bring the directions with you. We took an extra hour to find the farm as there is little signage.
The location in the hills was stunning and was matched by the owners.
We have never been asked to take our shoes off before.I do,however, understand why if the weather was wet(but it was not).
We liked the personal, friendly atmosphere in a very remote and beautiful location. We were sent detail directions on how to go the last few miles, which were invaluable as our SAT nav let us down during the last miles. The excellent breakfast is served at a communal table which encourages interaction with other guests. All the fittings and furniture is of a very high standard
The approach only about 5-6miles from Abergavenny is along very narrow lanes which may not be to everyone's taste.
Location and views are stunning, room is tastefully presented, breakfast was fab.
The rural environment and the friendliness of the staff; the facilities.
It was a challenge to find despite directions from Sarah. We were told to turn at the Fire Station but didn't know that a Fire Station in Wales is called a Tan. It took some finding.
Quiet country location Huge ensuite Views
Narrow lanes make access a little tricky. Could do with a conservatory and/or slightly larger breakfast room.
The location and scenery were stunning. I wish we could have stayed another day or so to go walking in that area.
We stayed stayed in 9 B &B's recently in England, Scotland and Wales. Without question The Celyn was the most impressive in every rating category. Sarah and father, Colin, were extremely hospitable and the setting was very inviting for someone who likes a rural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer than one night.
A bit challenging to find but the challenge was well worth it to stay at The Celyn.
