John, the owner, is very welcoming and sociable and provides a good filling breakfast.
If there had been a full house, parking would have been a nightmare because I have a big car and there is limited parking.
Good size room & clean & comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Perhaps a cot for baby & high chair would be helpful but didn't impact on our stay as we brought our own travel cot & our baby was young enough to sit on our knee when fed.
The guy who runs this place is a top bloke. Very friendly and very easy to get on with. I simply can't fault this place.
Lovely room, excellent host, comfortable bed, quiet location
Lovely balcony suite with rural veiw. Comfortable bed.
Tea tray in room could be better stocked/presented.
The hole stay was really very good
friendly clean and comfortable breakfast just right. local pub did excellent food as well will stay her again
Rooms were clean and spacious, host was friendly.
a large window high up had no curtain so the room was as bright as daylight at 5.00am. (Only applies to one of the 2 rooms we used). Some sort of mix up meant that the host was not aware of our booking and rooms were not made up when we arrived at 7-00 pm. This may not have been his fault.
A tasteful family home and an extremely comfortable room with everything I could have asked for. I really don't understand why people stay in hotels, when this level of quality is available. John's home-made bread was excellent, and his warm welcome (despite my failing confirm I was coming - please remember to do this everyone!) and expert knowledge of the local area was a real bonus. If I ever need to stay within twenty miles of Martley again, then I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else than The Chandlery. Top-notch wifi too...
Nothing - I can't think how he could do it any better!
The house and the owners were lovely, and I would highly recommend.
quirky, good layout and breakfast
cold, damp, empty beer cans left behind bed from previous guests, dirty sheets, no wi fi connection, weak and cold shower.
Couldn't fault anything, what an excellent stay
Room was lovely with a lovely little balcony overlooking the pretty garden. Breakfast delightful
Lovely welcome, our room was fabulous!
The quiet location and room was good
