Loved the position of this guest house... Ideal for a weekend break.

Breakfast was lovely but a little too early. Had to be out of the room by 10am! Room 12 was noisy with water pipes from other rooms running through it... Sounded like it was flooding, not a brilliant nights sleep. Still had a good weekend though.

Very warm welcome, room comfortable and clean and the staff all very friendly and professional--- breakfasts were excellent using only local produce and cooked to individual orders.

Very disappointed with the view which was one of the main reasons for choosing the room but in reality we had to peer out of a small window on tip toe to see anything --- we did inform the owners but they were unable to move us as other rooms full and no alternative or partial refund was offered--- considering our room was the most expensive to book it had the worst " sea view" which was disappointing as it is advertised as having one --- we were expecting far better than what we actually got -- that said we would recommend the guest house to family & friends but not this particular room because of the very limited view.

Close to the beach and harbour; Family run; Comfortable room, beds comfy, and plenty of space; Fairly priced;

Shower too small; Not much milk left for usage; Although breakfast good, I specifically booked you as one of us was a vegetarian; you told me that she would be catered for and although there were things on the menu that was suitable there were no veggy 'options', i.e. veggie sausages, veggie 'bacon' !!!! My friend did not like the fact that the tables next to us were being sprayed whilst we were still eating !

Situated on the Esplanade, very close to the beach, shops, harbour, parking place. Bedroom was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and efficient and the breakfast very good and well presented.

Very clean room. Lovely big fluffy towels. Excellent breakfast. Very close to town & right on seafront so amazing seaview.

Owner a little stilted in welcome & conversation. Window would only open a little & rooms stuffy. Shower had no instructions & was either hot or cold.

Lovely guest house, breakfast excellent.

Convenient position for town and sea front.

Landlord was off-hand and unwelcoming. Breakfast service extremely slow (20 min wait for tea!) but food delicious when it came. Stud walls meant you could hear neighbouring guests talking. Fire door had malfunctioning closer and other guests banged it loudly often late at night. Would not recommend the Channel to others.

the location was close to the town and not too far from parking, Clean and the bed was comfortable, the fridge was a pleasant surprise and most welcome

it was a bit hot, could have turned the heat down a bit in the corridors

The room was beautiful and larger than expected. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

The bed was a bit hard and the central heating was on, although didn't expect the good weather which didn't help.

Very friendly staff and informative, nothing to much trouble.

A bit noisy at the back with cars and people.

The Channel Guest House was near to all the shops and bars and far enough away not to be disturbed by late night revellers leaving the clubs and bars. Food was excellent and the rooms was very good and nothing was to much effort for the staff i would highly recommend this establishment.
