Score from 175 reviews Very good
The room was very comfortable, especially the bed! Very helpful staff even when the bar/restaurant was packed and people waiting, still made sure I wasn't stood waiting at the small reception area.
One small niggle, the English breakfast, I noticed that if you ordered 2 childrens breakfasts it was a penny cheaper than the adult breakfast but you would get more. why?
I've stayed here before and the rooms are excellent, nice and quiet, clean, warm and well managed facilities and great range of well priced food in the Charnwood Arms.
Unless you fancy sitting side saddle, the toilet being right up against the wall in room no1 isn't ideal! I opted for continental breakfast and was disappointed. Despite the 'range of breads and pastries' available according to the menu, a croissant or a sponge cake, crumpets along with a sliced loaf for toast isn't exactly a big range, and I thought quite expensive for what was on offer.(there were cereals, fruit salad and yogurt if you wanted them)
no problems lovely staff
Nothing all good
Chalet quiet and cosy soap dispensers not easy to use overall good
The size of the room was amazing and I would consider this place again
Staff were very friendly , location Good just of the M1
Strange High pitch ringing noise in room ,from time to time. Breakfast looked like it was thrown together, could got better from the snack van on the ind Estate. Cleanliness of cup and other utensils was poor.
Comfort and cleanliness of room.
Not able to conect to wi/Fi throughout building. noise from motorway.
It would be better to have wifi password given to you on checking in
the overall experience was marred by the cleanliness of the room and bedding. Although it looked clean, the bedding was not fresh.
Location, value, friendliness. The restaurant staff were the best we have come accross for ages and were very busy. Everyone of them worked brilliantly obviously being under a very good manager. Best Fayre & Square we have ever visited.
Felt the rooms could do with a highbacked comfortable chair to relax in after having travelled a long way but that is me being very picky and it certainly wouldn't stop me visiting again.
Duvet not very thick so was cold
We were in the exec double (10) which is ideal for families with young children as they could be in a separate room. Very good amount of space.
Creaky floor boards
Liked the fact it was a motel It was quiet at night Good location, easy to find, Hospitable staff.
No soap in the bathroom dispenser TV was a bit small Pillows hard Radiator not adjustable
Not a hotel doors open on to car park Motel Very tired and dirty, chalets away from pub .No reception after 10pm used by lorry drivers and shift workers and ladies of the night .You will not enjoy any sleep here it really is dreadfull .Dont take kids just avoid and pay a little more. Changed rooms three times in three days. Sink broken in 2nd gaps in door let in drafts radiator in bathroom broken reall dirty bath grout .just very very poor and no facilities.internet useless for anything other than emails never again.
Food good value for money. Rooms spacious. Quiet position away from any traffic noise.
Bed rather hard and springs made a noise when you turned over.
Very nice place to stay, the attached restaurant was excellent with great value food. Extremely nice well spaced room with a large comfortable bed.
Only a couple of very minor points, the room lacked a phone and we had very little signal (Vodaphone) so would have been useful. No glasses in the room for drinks.
Friendliness of staff, always willing to be of assistance, no pressure to vacate room for cleaning. A PLEaSURE TO STAY. Thank you.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room nice and toasty following fresh snow fall. Location great for visiting family in Coalville and restaurant serves great value for money pub food.
The room unfortunately was not clean and fresh (like on other occasions we have stayed) and we although we had one of the larger rooms with separate sitting area, the room lacked natural light and felt depressing. A shame as the normal rooms are nice and cosy.
For the full lent of our stay a cleaner didn't come to our room until or last day of a 4 day stay
Friendly staff. Very polite. Excellent greeting on check in.
