Bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable.
Good value food in the bar
Rooms opened onto car park like a motel no mention of this on web site not good if inclement weather. Room above had very noisy floor could hear every footstep
We received a warm welcome after a long weary drive! The location for us was perfect - easy to find and very near the motorway. Good standard of accommodation, good value for money - will definitely return.
The food wasn't great
The Car Park was big with ample spare parking......
The room was dark and dingy and the front door opened straight into the room which was strange, (no lobby) so the rain just blew straight into the room as you entered. The large canvass picture above the bed was a faded image of a 'working quarry'. Sort of added to the grey feeling inside the room. Dado rails and red velvet throws on the bed gave an overall impression of a dated 70's motel room. The bed was hard and the discomfort completed by the presence of numerous lumpy bedsprings. Reception closed at 11.00p.m. which meant we had to divert from attending the site of the project to pick up the keys. When I say reception, I mean the raised desk in the corner of a pub. We needed to leave the room early in the morning (6.00a.m.) and the reception didn't open until at least 7.00a.m. so we had to go to work on site then travel back at lunchtime to return keys and pay for the room. We were told we could have posted the key through the letterbox of the building next door, but it didn't have a notice or sign so we couldn't have known.
clean and comfortable room
The food was amazing. Can really tell the kitchen staff care about the quality of food, price fab. All in all loved everything
Room was clean and tidy if a little tired.
Noise coming from sprinkler system/fire alarm all night so difficult to sleep. Sounded a bit like a timer??
The room was clean and was able to park the dog van outside the room-had a good sleep
Went for a meal in the restaurant and waited at least half hr for our starters to arrive- when they did had another 15mins wait for the 3rd one. 4 steaks ordered as main course and waited almost 1hr for these to arrive-they then arrived cold. Manager apologised and said to come back and have a free drink but with 3dogs to walk and feed this was not possible. Disappointed
Food was nice staff were pleasant
Room needed redecoration, did not feel secure in room (door looked like it had been kicked in) no soap was provided even though there were dispensers and room smelled of damp
Staff were brilliant, good food at reasonable prices, good choice of breakfast, would recommend.
First and foremost, your staff. Without exception (very unusual) we were looked after and made to feel as if our visit was really important to them. We enjoyed the set up of the Hotel, with parking places adjacent to the bedrooms, the meals were well priced and enjoyable, the staff seemed to care if we were happy.
Nothing really - curtains could cover the windows better, but that is nit-picking.
Location gives easy access to the area, good value for money
Duvet not warm enough and no blankets available in room. Food is too biased towards fatty and carbohydrate heavy options.
Good bed Good room Very spacious Pub next door
Location of place, nowhere near anything or any shops Won a toy in the pub using a machine and they couldn't get me my prize
I loved the place, the rooms were like little flats. Food and drink available lovely views from outside Everything you need all in one place. I will definately stay here again. Bradgate is not far, and the area is stunning
I like everything about this place
It's always a lottery when selecting a budget room for the first time. I am glad to say that the room was well decorated and clean. The addition of an iron and ironing board was an added bonus. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff, location for Donington track and Airport good. Little chalet style rooms clean and tidy.Reasonable price I would book again.
Entrance door to room could have done with a draught seal around it but generally was happy.
Room was nice and could have car right outside so could see it. Resturent was great food amazing and staff very helpful and polite. Service was amazing. Will be coming again.
Good value for money- the room was a bit hot as the radiator was on in August. But we soon switched it off. Clean and comfortable.
The reception is next to the bar and doesn't give the best impression when you arrive. Looked a bit rough but didn't reflect the rooms we were staying in.
Easy booking, comfortable, clean
Tired decor and quite isolated location
Too early finishing
Budget hotel but not much to upgrade to superior suite which was large and had a comfortable bed, lots of towels. Super breakfast.
Old fashioned decor
Staff were nice and friendly and food was decent. Good location.
Noisy as rooms open onto the car park which is along a main road. Bugs could get under the door (and they did!). A bit like a motel.
Motel/Chalet style room, could park outside the room.
every think you needed was there, and we found it nice and quite and there was a wedding going on but at night it was nice and quite. And friendly staff thank you see you again .
