The Charnwood Arms  

Room was warm and welcoming, the bed was incredibly comfortable so had a lovely stay all In all!

I booked a room at The Charnwood Arms for me and my partner to spend some time together. When my partner and I entered our room we were quite surprised of how nice it was. We didn't expect it to be as lovely and cosy as it was. My partner and I will definitely be booking again.

When we arrived, we paid straight the way. The member of staff said it was actually cheaper which was great. When my partner and I went to check out we had to pay more (the original price we was quoted). I didn't think this was very good as the member of staff when we first paid even had to double check that the price was cheaper. Which clearly was not.

Not what was expecting (motel style as part of a Food Pub Chain) but very, very impressed. Although"reception" is just a desk as part of the main pub next to the main bar, and we had to fight our way to get through the crowd using the desk as a table, once checked in the rooms are an oasis of quiet. Motel style so park the car outside, nicely furnished and an extremely compfy bed. Warm and toastie inside, good bathroom. For under 30 quid this was a real find, just off the motorway before Coalville. Thank you for exceeding our expectations.

Check in a drama on a busy Friday, but can live with that!

The Charnwood arms is fantastically priced for a night out, the restaurant servers good food, and the bar is always busy.

Always a welcome stay.Recent refurbishment looks ok.Rooms,and big bath, brill.Good pub food.Handy for the motorway but...............NO Complementary biscuits ,in the ROOM!Now the new carpet in the resturant looks very nice,don't get me wrong,but still no biscuits,and I don't often eat biscuits, apart from when we visit the 'Charnie Arms'.But eh oh,still an oasis, after seeing family.

We were really happy with our room round the back of the pub. It as warm and clean and had everything we needed - incuding big cups for tea and coffee! I liked the layout of the hotel rooms as little challet type buildings and the parking was great - we could park right outside our room! Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again.

My only criticism is the staff in the pub - they are all rather clueless and don't welcome you as you go into the restaurant - you are left standing there for ages before they come to seat you. They messed up our order as well but we got a free garlic mushrooms out of it!

Pleasant hotel, easy enough to find and the staff we encountered were nice. Breakfast fine, no complaints. Served our purpose as we were attending a wedding nearby. Would stay there again.

Our room was upstairs, cleanliness of room fine but stairs to acccess room were not hoovered and it was visibly dusty. Also lots of blown leaves around the doorway at the foot of the stairs.

Good value for money, nice room, polite and helpful staff. Would certainly stay there again!
