Charnwood Arms by Good Night Inns  

10-15 minute drive from Donnington Park. Very nice (and reasonably priced) all day breakfast.

`it was ideal for our needs, family member had a birthday celebration at the venue, which also was excellent value for money.

the food menu was great value - our large group had a great meal

the put up bed for my son was very uncomfortable and he slept in with us instead, which did not make for a gret nights sleep!

Breakfast - but they returned money - only bread and jam, instant coffee for almost 6 gbp

Reception not signposted very well. Full of customers at the bar so couldn't see where it was

We all commented several times how friendly and helpful the staff were on check in and made us feel very welcome. Was way better than a Premiere Inn! Good value for food, room etc. I came down with a bug & the staff gave me a large jug of iced water & an empty ice cream container, just in case for emergency. Room had plenty of pillows and I felt comfortable. I missed breakfast but my family all said how good it was!

There was nothing I could dislike. We were staying in Coalville because we were visiting family who live there. The Charnwood restaurant was basic pub food - fish and chips, steak, etc. Not what I'd class as a restaurant if you wanted something really special - as it is basic - you order the food at the bar by table number - but it's cheap and such good value! So nothing I didn't like at all! :)

Rooms were like little cottages rather than floors.

Bed was a little hard. No hash browns on full english breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay near to my daughters and gransons home the service was good we had to evening meals on both nights with the family very enjoyable also continental breakfast ok saturday morning good service all round

Breakfast on sunday was terrible a couple of croissonts two cakes a few cereals we asked for toast it took ages to arrive and it was burnt two slices no butter or jams the waitress was to busy talking to staff re working rotors on checking out i asked to see the manager the person who served breakfast said she was the manager I told her the breakfast was a disgrace very little and burnt toast she ssaid she would have changed I told her it should never have been brought from the kitchen I stated it was not value for money at all sorry she said end of story

The Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the room was warm

Would have preferred a firmer bed but never the less the beds were comfortable

It is near family

The walls are thin between the rooms and the person next to me had there television on from 530am so woke us up early.

Good value for money

Motel arrangement - rooms set outside of main reception. Not good for breakfast on a cold and wet morning.

The chalets were ideal as we smoke and could stand outside

The pub/restaurant next door was very useful. Nice having own little chalet. Facilities in room were very good. Great having the free wifi

The full english breakfast was very inflexible. Would have liked to have been able to mix and match the breakfast items. Outside decor of apartments was shabby.

The outsides of the rooms desperately need sorting out plaster falling off the walls and just left on the ground Real shame because it does put people off inside the rooms are spotless

We were visiting family and friends in the area. The accommodation was fine, the Meals were good value with their "specials" and well presented. We have stayed here before a few years ago and will use this hotel again

We had a loverly room very big and good value for money. It was the executive room. Bloody loverly

Small chalet type accomodation!

Booking.com has it down as taking pets! They do not! I had to persude them to let me bring my dog in! This was the main reason I booked here!

It was conveniently placed

Its very noisy from the traffic which doesn't seem to stop and the cooked breakfast left a little to be desired

The room had every thing you needed in them

Drinks were a bit expensive

The room was redecorated beautifully, right next to a pub with great food. The staff are a credit to the company

The mattress needed replacing desperately and was in room 8 which had someone above and you could hear EVERYTHING!!
