Great value for money. The food served was excellent and the beer went down well too. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Liked the fact shampoo and shower gel in rooms.
Carpets are in need of being replaced and some of the furniture has seen better days. Carpet in bathroom a big NO NO!
Real peace and quiet country village pub. Although we didn't stay for dinner as we'd come to the area for a meal and entertainment, there was an good menu. Nice room, although bathroom small we felt they made the most of facilities with hand basin in room. Handy for kettle. Very clean. Excellent breakfast, best we've had this year. Excellent friendly owner.
No non dairy option on milk. Carpet joined across room by window, caught foot and tripped, potentially dangerous but was noted by staff. Back late entrance via fire escape not ideal.
Friendliness of service, good food/beer
Room a little tired, but nonetheless good value for money
Breakfast was very good, & wifi
Carpet in bathroom there is just no need
Beds were clean and comfortable
The shower was the smallest I have ever seen, less than 1sq M Room had bedside tables , but no bedside lamps.
Good value for money good breakfast.
The mattress on the single bed well past its sell by date.
Bed and shower room very clean and bed very comfortable.Lady at bar very friendly.Shower lovely and hot and good quality towels.
TV in room 3 doesn't work.Had eggs on toast for breakfast as can't manage full English. Two eggs on one slice of toast?
Price, location, staff.
Friendly staff and good value
Rooms do need some updating
Booking.com write up not factual at all! No wifi, no phone signal, no option to exit the building withiut setting off pub alarms. Basically a room above a pub with single drafty glazing .
Found accommodation to be in need of some redecoration and refurnishing, all a little tired eg. carpets fraying, pillows lumpy and need replacing, lighting poor etc.
We booked on a budget and received great food and consideration to our dietary needs, the countryside in this area at this time of the year is beautiful, with all of the fruit trees heavy. It is not far from the Malvern Hills, great scenery and easy walking, with superb views across a vast area of the country. The village is quiet.
The chase was a comfortable, friendly and convenient place to stay.
Nice Curry in the bar - prawn bhuna and sweet potato masala. Hot drinks available from the bar as well as a kettle in the room.
Water very hot at basin - could do with a mixer tap. Shower is small and snug for anyone with a larger figure! OK for short stay but would be uncomfortable for a long stop as only one chair and no wardrobe in Room 3.
Comfortable room. Lovely pub. Very friendly and efficient service. Good breakfast.
Cheap Friendly & helpful especially the manager Bathroom & bedding clean
Room 3 which overlooks the manager's house next door AND the outside smokers area which could be very noisy. Room 3 - furniture & decor tired. Carpet was grubby & stained. No wardrobe only pegs on the wall. Shower is tiny (& I'm only 5'4" / size 8) & temperamental.
Beautiful location, great value for money and very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend.
Fantastic friendly staff! And great locals at the var with a welcoming attitude.
Breakfast and choice of evening menu was good.
The shower cubicle was too small - very cramped.
good cheap food , happy go lucky locals , nice place
Staff, atmosphere ,food .value for money and very accommodating . Can't fault it .
Friendly staff who rectified our complaints without.
Rooms very dusty and our room wasn't cleaned daily. Bed only made twice during a 6 night stay. First room (No7) was small. En-suite was tiny and I was unable to close the door when on the loo! Beware if you have long legs. On a noisy road/junction and windows at front not double glazed. Whole place needs a refurb. Food ok but scrambled egg for breakfast was tasteless and choice was limited but for £5 you can't expect a lot.
Cold plates at breakfast

Easy to get to. Friendly greeting. Awesome breakfast, nice area, great setting, close to various sights and Eastnor Castle (although taxis are few and far between and cost the earth as they come from a long way and charge you). Tea and Coffee and biscuits in room.
Room was a bit dated, could have done with decorating. Bed a bit small and rammed against wall. Bit concerned about double booking as someone was and they booked direct with hotel, so suggest check, check and confirm again. Else all pretty good. Cheap enough.
