Thoughtful, attentive but unobtrusive hosts. Excellent breakfast menu and freshly cooked. Very comfortable lounge available at all times, with a wide choice of books to borrow and a very adequate range of local information booklets, timetables and maps. Comfortable, cosy bedroom with very clean en suite bathroom. Set back only a short distance from the seafront and therefore quiet location combined with the seafront only a short walk.
Can genuinely not think of anything!
The location was very good, close to the promenade and to cafes and shops. The guest house décor was of a very good quality.
The room was rather small and the Wi Fi didn't work very well.
What a lovely guest house The owners were friendly and very welcoming. Also very informative about Eastbourne Had a nice stay and would definitely book again
lovely large guest lounge without inane television on, interesting range of books and guides to Eastbourne and the hinterland. Rooms neat and very clean with excellent showers. Copious breakfasts cooked and cold buffet which Richard offers very accommodatingly to many varying tastes.
The décor is lovely, breakfasts were good and freshly cooked. Bed comfy and plenty of storage.
Although the bathroom suite looks newly appointed and fresh the bathroom only had a shower hose and head but no shower sides/curtain/door so had to sit in the bath to shower and was concerned would soak the floor. If the above was available it would be perfect.
Lovely guest house, clean, well furnished and decorated, good breakfast, free Wi-Fi, friendly and helpful hosts...
No dedicated parking - although free street parking difficult to get a spot close to the guest house...
Everything was great
Being woken up by the seagulls - but then it is a seaside town
The guest house was very clean and beautifulyl decorated. Carol and her husband were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay for a great price. i would definitely return again. Thanks!
The whole places sparkles. The decor is excelent a very high standard. Plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee tray was better than most 4star hotels. The welcome was good and very helpfull.
Sorry this is my view only, the Bed and pillows were too firm for me.The mirror and shelves in the bathroom were too high for me.It would have been nice too have had a chair to relax in.
Really near to everywhere I needed to be. Lovely friendly couple.
it was clean, quiet, close to town, free wifi, good tv program, friendly stuff
From walking in the door a warm welcome greeted you and nothing was too much trouble The bed sturdy mattress comfortable and refreshment tray in the room would suit anyones Taste. Linen and towels fluffy and nice. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choice and if any help to find your way around is Required you only need to ask and places to visit or miss then you will have suggestions at your Fingertips
I enjoyed the whole stay although my unfit state was shown while climbing stairs to my top floor room This is my problem and has no reflection on the wonderful house l
Everything was perfect! Especially, breakfast was really delicious:)
The hotel is clean; the furniture is new and quite nice. I liked the location – it’s not far from the Beachy Head and the center of the town. The beds are comfortable.
The room is really small - the smallest twin I’ve ever been to. For us it was not an issue, but the real problem was that the soundproofing was poor. We could hear every word of our neighbors next door. On Sunday we were woken up at 7:30 by the sound of TV working in the neighbors’ room. And they were not being loud. The hotel doesn’t give you any feeling of privacy, so it’s not a great idea of spending a romantic holiday here. Also I had a distinct feeling that the host for some reason didn’t like us. Maybe it had something to do with us being young or wrong nationality or my English was not so good :) Though this was not my problem, it was surprising for me, because I have never met such an attitude before in the UK.
to anyone thinking of staying at the cherry tree guest house i will say this---just book it!!!!!! the proprietors could not do enough to please us and made our stay very enjoyable.Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices.the rooms were everything we wanted and as i said the hosts Carole and Richard put themselves out to help when i needed advice.
I cannot find anything to put in this column.
Quiet place to relax especially after long day visit. Breakfast was excellent. Richard was caring enough to suggest various attractions and tasty restaurants nearby. Value for money.
Limited parking space on street. Not facing the Sea.
Lovely room & decor! Excellent value for money
Very helpful, friendly owners. Excellent breakfast. Immaculately clean. Lovely lounge area. Modern decor, comfortable beds. Fairly quiet road outside.
No soundproofing - could hear everything next door. This is only in certain rooms as I have stayed before and did not hear anything. Very limited time slot for check in 4 to 6 pm - rather inconvenient.
Great location, view of Eastbourne Hills, quiet street, cosy place.
One of the prettiest and cosiest hotels, just two minutes from the beach and walking distance from station. Food was good too.
one word describes this guest house superb!!
