In stunning countryside, this late 18th century British pub is beautifully set in the heart of the ancient village of Corton Denham, on the Somerset/Dorset border.

Easy, unforced sense of hospitality of the hotel owners/ hosts
Food was on the average side
Excellent food Excellent nights sleep Large room Lovely character Friendly welcoming staff
Shower could have been a little more powerful. Altered the head setting but still not particularly powerful. Minor niggle though.
Nice sized room with a decent TV and DVD player, very nice biscuits and tea/coffee selection. Well lit bathroom with proper toiletries and good shower.
It was very quiet in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner - as a single diner it's nice to have other diners around you sometimes.
No particular likes - everything was good or very good..
Excellent food and facilities. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Beautiful part of the UK. I would recommend this to everyone.
Speed of wi-fi Facilities in the room Breakfast was 5 star
Nothing this was a great BB
The room was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the welcome from new owners Maria, Simon and their staff was warm and genuine. We would recommend The Chetnole Inn as a good base from which to explore Dorset. There is lots to see in the surrounding countryside.
Owners and staff very welcoming, helpful and efficient. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent good value food. Lovely, well appointed bedroom and en-suite (The Hardy).
Room excellent, spotless and tbe food in the bar was very good
Little bit expensive taking into consideration of the location
The ambience was restful and the food as good as I have experienced
Checking in times could be more available. We were lucky as we encountered the chef who opened up for us at 4pm, otherwise we would have been kicking our heels until 6pm
That the price I got for the hotel on this site was different price I paid at the hotel
Lovely comfy room.Very helpful and friendly staff.Apart from the shower, the bathroom was a delight.
The shower didn't drain well.
The rooms were nice and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and as I am coeliac supplied gluten free sausages and bread as I had asked for. When I arrived the new licensees had also got in gluten free biscuits and crackers to have with cheese after dinner. All in all a lovely pub.
Not much I didnt like, only that the bar and restaurant were closed on Sunday evening and a very small gripe the Wi-fi was a little slow at times. This didn't spoil our stay at all though.
friendly welcome, lovely room, good food, would definitely stay again
Excellent place to stay, would recommend to anyone. New owners and staff were welcoming and very friendly and made us very welcome. Food and facilities very good. A beautiful part of England
Beautifully appointed bedrooms and an excellent cooked breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming. We definitely would stay there again.

Very comfortable room. Great food and friendly hosts. A pretty village, and the pub has a great setting opposite the church. This was our second visit. We would definitely return .

The fresh coffee in the room
There was not anything to dislike.
Wonderful location. Lovely room. Great food.
Only 3 rooms in the Inn and the owners did not take the time to meet us. We have stayed many times in Dorset and Devin and have always been warmly greeted and welcomed. Did not get the same feeling here.. Will return to Inns where we were welcomed
Can't check-in when closed between lunch and 6pm.
The quiet location but easy to get to local towns by car. A good base for exploring Dorset and Somerset. Spacious, comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Excellent food available in restaurant. Breakfasts extremely tasty using local produce, sets you up for the day.
