very convenient for the city,ie walking, thought that having to wait till 14-30 before room ready was a bit late especially as rooms need to be vacated by 11-00.and having bought drinks in hotel bar then paid the city pub prices found the hotel to be unreasonbly expensive,..oh and the fire alarm going off in the morning did,nt help. |

The staff were very friendly and very helpful when answering queries. The modern was mixed tastefully with the old - found it interesting that the building was the former war offices and that relates to its name. The bedroom was too small. |

Everything, especially the cuisine. Comfortable, good location We thought that the dining room in which the ipiano was located was too small. It disturbed conversation and was intrusive. |

Hotel Location for City centre access Corridors/access to rooms, very narrow.Seemed very'low lite',nothing bright, lighting all around seemed to have that 'dimmed' effect, not sure if that's what effect the hotel wanted. |

Staff was very friendly. Stylish decor. Large immaculate bathrooms. Comfortable bar. Good value for the money. Room was a bit small and no common sitting area downstairs, except the bar itself. Would be nice if bar served some small snacks, e.g. nuts or appetizer.type items. |

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the location was perfect for our shopping trip and we were allowed to leave our car in the car park after we had checked out, while we shopped |

The room was large and well-appointed. The breakfast was good and ample. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife found the bed too soft. |

Very friendly staff and a very comfortable hotel. Yes, I prefer a room with both shower and bath and was most disappointed to find only a shower. |

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Not a smoker but loved the cigar cabin, nice to see smokers are thought of as people. Car parking. Would stay again. Yes did not like my fish and chips (tasty) served on a wooden chopping board. Main building rooms need new or refurbished window frames to keep out the noise of the kitchen vent. |
