The size of the room. The excellent food The friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable bed. Good en-suite facilities. Being large enough to accommodate most of our family.
Not being able to open the window in our room. The noise from other residents. The noise from outside.

All was Good! Lovely Staff!
Like any Hotel in the centre of a Big Town or City....a lot of noisy over refreshed people at night and early morning.....it can't be avoided ...not their fault
The hotel was easy to get to . The staff were excellent, the food was good & it was excellent value for money.
The mattress was too soft for my liking, but I'm only nit picking here.My only other complaint was the noise from the bar below. But in my case,I'm only a grump because I had to be up & gone fairly early in the morning.
Price - much cheaper than hotels at Edinburgh airport Location - close to the airport
Had a flight Sunday morning and there was live music in the hotel up till midnight so no sleep. Flashing the toilet and using water equals lots of noise.

The staff were friendly and helpful
The room was the size of a broom cupboard
Location, friendliness of staff & room size.
In my opinion the double bed was not that comfortable, it was too hard
Room quite dated considering the price of the room for a nights stay
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent Scottish breakfast.
New Mattress required.
Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Brilliant location, modern, very clean room with everything you need. Excellent selection for breakfast & super speedy service with a smile
staff on reception Christine went the extra mile to help us, she was helpful very friendly and polite. on arrival due to an early flight she happily let us leave our bags then called me earlier than check in time to say our rooms were ready, my friend discovered she had lost her debit card when we were away from the hotel i called the hotel and asked if anyone could look, Christine went to look herself and called me back which was more than I expected. All breakfast staff were friendly and polite.
noise outside bedroom window drunk people shouting and abusive
Clean and kind staff
Dunfermline town and hotel location in Town.
Basic amenities, far too noisy at night with bar verandah and disco immediately below room window. No room service and a ban on takeaway food in room, breakfast was limited and a very slow service with one young lady trying hard to deal with everyone.
location, location, location
The Friendly helpful Staff and the lovely food, the clean rooms and the free wifi! (a must when travelling with a teenager)
Noisy neighbours ( not the hotel's fault) and for me, the bed was a bit too soft
we stayed at the City hotel in the family room for the commonwealth games and although it was about an hour to Glasgow the hotel met our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable and served an excellent breakfast. The staff were very polite and helpful. The position in the town is great for shops and restaurants, you can also get the train to Edinburgh directly from the town and be there in 30 mins.
The beds were a bit firm.
Location,breakfast and staff.
The room was far too hot asked for a fan too keep me cool at night with no joy.Had to keep bedroom window to cool the room down a little, then to be woken by a extractor fan from the kitchen at 6am due to location of room :-(
