Excellent view the most comfortable bed and was great value for money
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a good location
the room was a little small - difficult to walk round the bottom of the bed.
A travel cot was provided for our baby girl which convienient. The double bed was a nice size and the view was lovely.
We weren't really there long enough to encounter any problems.
Location clean price
Nothing reasonable for the price
Just returned from our stay here and had a lovely stay. The hotel was reasonably priced with a brilliant location!! We requested a sea view room and were given one on the 3rd floor, the view was amazing!! The family room we stayed in was spacious with a bunk bed and a double bed. The double bed even had a memory foam topper which made our stay even better!! We did not have breakfast so can't comment on the food but it was reasonably priced at just £5 per person. Would definetly recommend anyone to request a sea view room!!
The television in the room was a bit small and high up in the corner, could have done with a bigger one!! But other than this there were no other faults.
location, views, bed comfort, breakfast, staff friendly and helpful
room a little crowded, fixtures and fittings a little loose, general condition a little tired.
Great value Friendly staff
A bit tired, but the new owners are looking to update and modernise
staff were nice location good amenities close by
Thought the room was noisy from the seagulls outside and the room was a bit cold
This was a return visit, our first stay since the change of ownership. From the lovely welcome from the owners' daughter, Sofia, onwards we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Beautiful views of the North Bay, comfortable beds and within walking distance of the town centre, South Beach and Spa Complex. We couldn't ask for more from a hotel.
Clean room, great view, fair price and helpful staff
Some noisy residents. The bed mattress didn't suit my back, but I realise you can't be please everyone .
View was fantastic Bed and bedding was really comfortable Staff really friendly and helpful
Parents had 2 single beds pushed together as a double in the family room and said it wasn't comfortable, one of the pillows also smelt a bit.
It was very homeley and friendley food good
There was nothing to dislike
Fantastic views of the castle and sea. Short stroll to the centre of town. Lovely friendly owner.
Lovely sea view, plenty of hot water, clean towels, very comfortable bed, friendly owners and staff
Location Rooms Staff Facilities
Bar atmosphere too quiet. Needs a little more effort from owners to create atmosphere for guests and generate conversation. Should be a place where families come together at the end of the day to relax with the children and chat with other guests and the owners to make it a home from home. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay. Am sure Rick and Mary will make a success of this venture.
Easy to book Available for one night only booking Had a lift to upper floors Wifi worked Facilities in room were OK
Parking is difficult Long way out of town
Very clean Very friendly free car park great situated good breakfast comfy beds
Hotel bar closes a little bit too early at 11pm maybe keep open until 12pm at weekend.
Very warm welcome. Wonderful location: the sea view rooms must have a great view as the view stood outside the hotel is stunning. Good facilities, e.g. bar, pool table. Comfortable mattress. Beautiful breakfast.
Had a room on the top floor which was a lot of flights of steps- lift only went to floor 2. Would have preferred a sea view. Shower was impossible to get a constant temperature. The shower went from scalding to freezing continuously. Parking was a problem. Had to park quite a way away from the hotel as car park was full. Breakfast was £6.95 (large full English) good value- but my husband requested one egg and two rashers of bacon and we had to pay the same- very poor value.
wonderful sea front views. games room for kids. Room clean and a decent size. Nice comfey bed.
the place could do with a re-vamp but this would be a massive task as the place is huge.
staff helpful and thoughtful range of breakfast teas
breakfast arrangements for making tea. I would have preferred a pot of tea rather than making individual cups with a fresh tea bag each time.
excellent location , hosts very friendly and helpful
in need of some updating room smelt of cigarettes
The view out of the window as you weren't looking at the hotel
The urinating dog in reception, when this was pointed out the receptionist just laughed it off The smell of the room, stank of dogs Place felt dirty
The sea view
It was not what we expected from a hotel and was more like a glorified B&B! The website showed pictures of the rooms which looked lovely but it wasn't anything like it! Very cramped and very basic.
Friendly staff and very comfy bed, close for the beach, North Bay railway and sealife sanctuary, handy for the bus to the south bay
The owners and their family who were staying at the time were very welcoming and friendly. I stayed with my partner, parents and 2 young children.
