The Clarence Gardens  

The location of this hotel was very nice and walking distance of the beach and town etc. It was very clean and also we liked the idea of the lift as we had a pushchair for our daughter. I would also like to say the manager and manageress Paul and Paula provide an excellent service and are very nice people.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Room is spacious and clean. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station but quite near to the castle and the northern bay.

There is nothing to complain, except the window leaks wind inside the room which is a bit cold in Feb. But the staff is very considerate to stick towels in the leaking crevice and it actually works.

The mrs thought the bed was a little lumpy, I slept like a baby.

The staff were first class

Paid fir breakfast before we arrived as it was a pound cheaper but on bothornings the breakfast I ordered was not available, reception was hot as a green house bur the rooms were freezing, one single wardrobe between 6 people in family room, no bath, not even a communal one,

Very warm accomodating couple who run the hotel. Had a fantastic seaview in our family room. Also excellent facilities in the hotel, would highly recommend.

Paula and Paula are excellent hosts - very friendly, homely atmosphere. Breakfasts are excellent value and will keep you going for the day. (Full English is £5.95 if booked the evening before and in addition you can make the most of a very varied Continental included in the price)

A Pool table is available for use. The table requires levelling - thats the only reason I can think why my partner beat me!!!!! Seriously - Cannot think of any reason not to return.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful,you feel like you are a good friend of theres,nothing is to much trouble for them.the accomodation is quite basic but all you need for a stay as not in the room that much..the bar is cosy and the games room is great for the kids.the views from the rooms at the front of the hotel are fantastic right across the north bay and the castle..

Lovely hotel on the quiet seafront. Fantastic views of the bay by day and night. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Excellent food and lovely bathroom. A traditional place to stay! Would come back to stay again.

The family room was quite small when the travel cot was up for our 1 year old. (Double bed and bunk beds and other furniture) The room was located on the 3rd floor. The lift only went to the 2nd floor!
