Did not cater for coeliacs very well
staff were very efficient and helpful. food and service very good. will visit again.
Room decor Attentive staff
Road noise Food and alcohol a bit expensive
Everything was excellent, Dining, bar service, wine list all first class.
Dinner was very good, but lobster a little on the expensive side for amount served. Would recommend the restaurant for dinner though.
Hotel badly situated , too noisy and breakfast not up to the standard of dinner, although room was very good bathroom was very small.
Ambience, service and food were excellent.Lovely country-house feel.
A real attention to service. All the staff were friendly and attentive to my requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is really comfortable, very well appointed and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was a wonderful; great food and wines to match. I am not a breakfast person but the buffet looked so inviting that I couldn't resist. I will definitely return when I am next in North Yorkshire, probably for pleasure rather than business.
Fantastic food and the staff could not have been more friendly. Could not have asked for more.
Lovely building and great decor. Very original, quirky and stylish. Didn't realise the hotel was so close to a major road although the traffic noise was not a problem. The receptionist who also showed us to our room and waited at breakfast was lovely. Very enthusiastic and quite delightful. Restaurant ok but didn't match up to the rest of the hotel in style or service. Food good but not memorable.
Closeness to a major road and I thought it was a bit expensive for what was on offer
The food in the Bistro was excellent, superbly presented, delicious and served with a smile. The room was large, clean and tidy. An excellent find, really enjoyed our stay.
everything food ,staff etc
We enjoyed very much the experience overall of staying and eating at the Tontine. The open fires and small rooms added to the ambience
The food was satisfactory but not as memorable as when we dined previously
Staff were wonderful, the rooms comfortable and the breakfast superb
