Hotel was good price and staff were very helpful. Location pretty good and excellent sea view if you upgrade your room. The hotel website was very modern and deliberately did not give much information or pictures on the rooms. You soon realise when staying there that the hotel seriously needs updating and has not been refurbished since the late 70. Was very dissappointed as other hotel offer much much modern feel for same cost. |

the young man in reception was very helpful. Our room obviously started out life as a linen closet. I looked at the rooms on the internet before booking and they looked very nice. The room we had was not. We were unable to stand the noise from the generator which was attached to the wall of our room so any fresh air was out of the question. We were put right next to the bar and stairs after we booked in with a dog and paid extra for him!! Marauding guests were screaming their heads off in the middle of the night and knocking on the door as they went past. In the end it got so bad I took the dog, who was terrified, to sleep in the car so we paid for nothing. |

The evening meal x two nights were quite good and hot . The room that I stayed in was very poor and disapointing. When I first arrived and went up to my room and after seeing it asked if there was an alternative. I was offered two keys to veiw 2 other rooms. They were not much better so I decided to stay put. The decor in my room was very dated the bedroom and bath room are in desparate need of decorating. The bath is chipped and the floor covering is very worn and grubby. |

We enjoyed using the hotels facilities which included using the two next doors facilities, we used the outdoor pool, indoor pool, sauna and gym. The location of the The Cliffeside was excellent too. Also during our two day stay we visited the New Forest which was beautiful and well worth a visit. We also managed to spend an afternoon on the beach which included a dip in the sea. We also saw the Zambezi express a show on the pier which was good value for money and a brilliantly energetic show! The main thing we didn't like was the bed linen, although it was clean we thought sheets and blankets were a bit dated. We didn't sleep particularly well, also there was only 1 pillow each which weren't comfortable. The hotel was nice but could do with a bit of updating in some places! |

It was clean and comfortable. Ok to stay in for two or three days but rooms need updating, only four channels on T.V no freeview, long walk to town centre, all the same we had a good time. |

Nice location Quality of mattresses is terrible - beds are really uncomfortable. There is also lots of noise for the rooms looking at the back which is really annoying if you want to relax in you room during the day (noise stops after 9pm). |

the receptionists were lovely and very friendly, room service people were friendly, we loved the use of the suncliff indoor swimming pool, the sea views we had was incredible we felt the room was quite small for our needs, and a little dated, the bar staff and the restaurant staff could do with being a little more friendly at times they made me feel it was a chore to help, which was a shame because everyone else was so lovely. |

The company I was with The bedroom was ordered as double but it had 2 single beds. Not comfortable. The receptionist said that she could not give us a sea facing room(fair enough) so they had upgraded us !!?? I wonder what the 'double' room would have been like if she had not. I think she 'fibbed' |

Nothing positive, the staff were unfreindly, my room was cleared before I was to be booked out and placed in a carrier bag. The room I stayed in had damp, there was no proper ventilation. The curtains were dirty. When I complained to Hotel management about clearing my room before I had checked out, there was no apology just the urge to defend there policy that they can go in any room and clear out before the checkout time of 10.30. Considering the price I paid which is 169.00 gbp, I would recommend avoid at all costs. |
