Breakfast was good value.

The man a reception was rude and his manner was entirely inappropriate. The decor was also poor and the en suit was cramped and uncomfortable to use.

Breakfast buffet. Bed comfortable. Comfortable lounge area.

Bathroom suite in need of refurbishment - cracks in toilet and basin, grouting in shower. General décor looks tired. TV only basic not freeview or satellite.

The staff were very helpfull the Hotel is in a good location.

The Double Room was not large enough to be considered a double room.

The size of room 123 was good.

Room 123 smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, was very hot and the windows did not open. The double room had a bed that could not be accessed from both sides. Was given keys to another double but this bed was the same. Husband and wife had to stay in two single rooms as there were no other rooms available. Being charged for paying by Debit card. Having to pay £6 for parking. Cheap, bland breakfast. Poor decor and wonky floor boards. Free toiletries previously used by someone else. Small, old, dirty lift with a death-trap gate.

the staff were very helpful especially a lady called linda ,she was very pleasant and helpful.

went to see olly murs in concert,had a really good evening but spoiled the next morning by being told we were too late for breakfast told 9.30am in the room said on the brochure 10am arrived at 9.40am.disappointing!

Very little,the food was adequate.

Milk pots not changed from previous guests, had been opened so had soured.maids did not attend second night.the whole property needs refurbishment not just the outside.we did not even stay on third night booked

Felt like being in a hotel from the forties...extremely dated and scruffy.

Breakfast, location, parking, room with chairs in a separate area.

No entertainment should be warned about this as it was weakened, ceiling falling in, bed hard,housekeeping did not make bed, left bathe room light on. Warning that the hotel had work that was ongoing. The price we could have gone elsewhere with entertainment. Very disapionted

Hotel was tired and in need of decoration/refurbishment. Bedroom was at best a single room with 2 twin beds and poor amenities. Any more than the price charged it would not have been worth it.Room was on 4th floor with poor lift facilities. Not up to Britannia's usual standards.

The hotel has a unique character and history. I enjoyed looking at the design and how it had changed over the years. The whole stay exceeded all my expectations. The location was fantastic for the purpose of our visit which was to have a break by the sea and then watch my son play cricket at Scarborough CC.

Rude staff. Dirty and cramped room suitable for one person when I booked double rooms. The room that was reallocated to myself was dirty to the extreem. The room reallocated to my travelling friends was only available for two and not the three nights we had booked for. The staff showed no interest in our complaints and simply stated that the hotel had only recently been taken over and that work was being undertaken. This is no reason for dirt! We decided to leave after the second nights stay, having put up with poor food both on the first evening and at two breakfasts. No refund was offered not even with regards to the daily car parking fee. This hotel should not be recommended as it is giving you (booking.com) a bad name!!!

staff were extremely ignorant, arrogant and unhelpful. collected key was left to our own devices to find the room, not told of how to put on lights with key holder next to door. when i asked if i needed to leave key for room when we were going out later in the evening was told yes but as i had left the receipt slip had to return to the room to collect it. The staff then proceded to mock me stating "of course you need to leave the key cant you read" unawares that my wife was sitting 5 feet from them, there would have been no problem if they had explained everything about the room,how to get the power on and on if we were leaving the hotel at any point.

the double room we booked at a cost of almost £160 for 2 nights was actualy a small, no, a tiny single room with a three quarter bed squeezed in. 3 of the maids/cleaners verified this as fact to us. when we complained we were told it was a small double by desk staff. we wouldn't leave it at that and after sticking to our guns were relocated on the second day to another hotel which was perfect.

The food was good value for money the hotel is ok but in need of some TLC.

hotel needs a revamp. the breakfast had a good choice but bacon was fatty sausage was cheap the tables were to close you struggled to get back to your table with your food the tea was awful when asked for fresh tea/coffee staff were abrupt.car park was to tight our car was scratched shouldnt have to pay.

Very gay friendly and all staff happyto help, hoping to book again for longer, thankyou so much and meals are wonderfull x

breakfast first class with plenty of choice room large & very clean.

opening windows did not shut tight draughty & double glazing in main bedroom large sealed unit failed hence foggy poor visibility.
