Great place for a short break away.
Host was friendly and helpful. Facility had tons of books which guests were welcome to read. If you're staying there for a while, you could choose one to read from the foyer, breakfast room, sitting room or your bedroom! Food was excellent. Our host said he was noted for his omlette and he wasn't wrong. It was a good way to start the day. Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Stairs may be daunting, but host was helpful and assisted us with our bags. We can't recommend this place highly enough.
Can't fault this place.
The owner Shariar's attention to detail - nothing was too much. His signature dish - omelettes at breakfast were delicious and were lovingly prepared.
The upstairs bedroom's shower room was a little on the small side, but we were upgraded to a bigger one on the first floor for the second night.
Host very welcoming, relaxing atmosphere, decor very interesting. Breakfast was very interesting pancakes and omelettes a must, and the traditional english was great! Will be staying there again on next visit.
The room was clean and cosy, and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was really good, especially the omelettes. Totally recommended.
room decor exceptional comfortable surroundings breakfast was delicious and served personal touch requirements. hospitable host who made us to feel well catered for. will certainly go back.
Forget Brighton. Go to Hastings (well St Leonards, technically speaking, but it's a really nice walk along the prom) and stay at the superb Cloudesley. The décor is brilliant - great style. If you are going to see the Chapman Brothers at the Jerwood this is the place to stay. Check out the piles of books in the hall, the sitting room (wood burning stove.) Honesty bar with a free first drink - we had organic gin and tonics and yes there was ice. After the first drink just put whatever you think into the piggy bank. Gourmet breakfast really was - blueberry and banana omelette with armignac was divine; smoked salmon and fresh dill was too. The host was brilliant. The room was lovely and really comfortable. In fact it was perfect.
There was nothing we didn't like. Better than faultless, it exceeded expectations.
A comfortable, welcoming B&B,lovely room, good bed, nicely furnished.Shahriar a thoughtful and calm host, the whole experience was comfort.the breakfast was delicious both mornings, great omelette, tasty fullenglish, with good quality ingredients and decent coffee.second time there- will go back!
Would like to return in evening to a fire in the wood burner, now weather changing especially when it rains. Otherwise perfect!
Comfy rooms great breakfast
difficult access no hand rail on entry stairs
A truly friendly and enjoyable five star experience. Excellent breakfast, calm and peaceful house and a beautiful quiet room. All we wanted.
Everything. The host is an absolute gentleman, whose hotel appears a personal reflection of himself and its an absolute refreshing difference to see such a personal touch and the greatest pride in how it is run. I will even be recommending people just to go to Hastings in the first place just to stay at this hotel!!
The owner was extremely helpful, very much above and beyond the call. We had just arrived in the UK, and were very early. He welcomed us warmly, regardless. It is a beautifully decorated and comfortable space. Breakfast was delicious and extensive.
The owner was very welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay. The whole accommodation was spacious, very relaxing and the room was furnished to a very comfortable level. WiFi good (downloaded a BBC show) The breakfast menu was extensive and Shahriar (the owner) offered a selection of specialty omelettes, which we recommend you try at least one. It was a good location for day trips out of town, you would need to drive to the beach, where we found a wide variety of eating places for all budgets and tastes.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast - the house special omelette is recommended. Handy for St Leonards Station
What a fabulous place to stay. Comfortable bed and amazing breakfast. The Cloudesley has a great vibe - the charming host, Shahriar made our stay memorable and lovely. The walls are full of art and photography and the mood is serene and calm. Definitely somewhere you want to discover and return to.
Bedroom decor great. Wonderful service and welcome. Superb breakfast.
Very beautyful house, very-well decorated, very kind owner (but who doesn't keep his promises)
The owner promised us croissants and brioches for the breakfast (we are french and don't eat cooked for breakfast) but we never see them! Wi-Fi doesn't work on mornings (we stay 2 nights and no Wi-Fi available the 2 mornings). The Streets around the house weren't clean.
Shahriar (the owner) was an attentive host, entertaining and cooked the most delightful breakfasts I have ever had. The guest house was well located very comfortable and the room we stayed in was very large with great furniture. Very delightful and unique. We would recommend this guest house and will be returning to experience some of the wonderful treatments on offer. Peter & Karen
It was a pleasure to stay at such a calm peaceful and tranquil guest house. Purely for the fact Shahriar (the owner) was a kind sincere and really attentive man. Who made our stay here, we will definitely be returning. The food is most impressive and would rate well in any 5* hotel. (All cooked by the owner himself).
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel with outstanding service. The owner really gives it that personal touch. Many thanks we will be back!
This is the Ideal place for those that just want to chill out. With It's ambient bohemian surroundings, and pleasant courteous management who cant do enough for you makes this place one of the best retreats for those who just want to forget the rest of life's hustle and bustle for a few days. Don't forget to sample the omlette specialty for breakfast with bacon, figs and cognac!
The fact that there were no tv's in the rooms did not put us off!
Host was very charming and the setting peaceful and calm, with beautifully chosen decorations.
Attention to detail in the house in every room no expense spared in the furnishings and decor Nothing was too much trouble We enjoyed the impromptu garden tour Host is a keen and. Knowledgeable plantsman
My partner and I spent a Friday and Saturday night here after a very long exhausting week in London! We had a really lovely weekend - lots of great recommendations about things to do. Shahriar is an incredible host, lovely and welcoming and his food is delicious! He was very generous and offered us several lifts into the town centre, but with the weather being nice a walk made for a nice stroll along the seafront. We are very much looking forward to more relaxing weekends at the Cloudesley. :)
The owner was a very nice person, very polite and helpful. Breakfast was to a good standard. Liked the offer of the massage etc
Location was not really to my liking. Parking was a bit awkward
