The room was clean and well maintained The staff were courteous overall the hotel was lovely. I didn't enjoy my breakfast too much as it was all fried but saying that my partner eat everything |

The Clovelly has the real name just spelt wrong it should be called the Lovely. It has easy acsess to the pier and beach and is central to the town but not to on top of you. I would definatley stay there again.Spotlessly clean and beatiful breakfast. Highly recomended. |

The two men working there were very sweet and hospitable. Made you feel right at home. The pier was just across the street too! The room we stayed in was very small, just enough room to get around the bed. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and comfortable. The bacon and sausage on the breakfast tasted like it was pre cooked and was a little hard to eat. This was the only aspect of the hotel that could be improved.Otherwise the breakfast was nice and the service good. |

The staff were absolutely brilliant in every respect and made all of us feel extremely comfortable. The lounge and dining areas were spotlessly clean and the bar prices were not expensive. The only comment about the rooms at the rear of the hotel is that they might be considered a little cramped for two people, but we had separate double rooms for one person and they were more than adequate. |

Very friendly staff, tasteful decoration, beautiful location and quite stunning Victorian architecture. Good value for money, too. The desk and bedside tables in plastic laminate were not in line with the rest. |

The Clovelly is one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in, everything was spic and span and no dust! The staff were very nice and the breakfast was very tasty. No grumbles at all really but maybe the stairs. We stayed right at the top and it's a long way up after brekky!! |

Location was great. Breakfast was hot and tasty.Staff pleasant.Rates were good. Parking was dreadful..good manoeuvering skills required to get in the space and I was peeved at having to pay. The bedroom overlooked the parking area and was a bit drab with lace curtains which made it very dark. Glad I wasn't on the 4th floor as there is no lift. The pillows were very lumpy and the mattresses creaked when you turned over.Funiture in the lounge was a little tired looking and the room itself overfilled and small. |

warm friendly atmosphere with a good breakfast, offer of taking tea/coffee through to the lounge on the morning of departure Car parking at the rear of the hotel was very tight. great possibility of damaging car if spouse was not present to assist exit. |
