Accommodation was lovely. Cosy pub, staff very friendly and welcoming.
Restaurant was limited in choice and overpriced for standard.
Room spotless and very pleasant staff
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Really kind owners who couldn't do enough for us. Even gave us a lift to a wedding when we couldn't get a taxi. Superb facilities and wonderful breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good. The parking was good.
We had a downstairs room (Bourton) and although the room was fine the noise from creaking floorboards from the room above would be a 'show stopper' with regard to any consideration to return.
we stayed in the large family room with our two kids. Very clean and comfortable room. Strong power shower. Great location (5 mins walk into town) and excellent pub food.
on busy road so could hear the traffic which woke us up. No wifi in bedroom Fan broken in bathroom
The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Our accommodation was set well back from the road so we didn't here the traffic. It was easy to find and just a ten minute walk from the centre of the town.
Small niggles really, the loo seat was very loose and I had to put the shower head back together. The drinks in the bar were VERY expensive and they had no cask beers on.
Accommodation was superb & the staff were friendly & helpful!! Loved our stay.
Road can be a little noisy when trying to sleep and the bed was a little too hard for us but that is just personal choice.
The village of Bourton On the Water. Excellent choice of beverages in the room, lovely evening meal . Lovely fluffy cosy throw on the bed.
The distance of the walk into Bourton on the Water, in the cold.
Food, character of bar and children made welcome.
Being able to stay in a barn conversion, not in the pub but adjacent to it.
Old world externals, modern internals
Food, Bathroom was unventilated and consequently had black spot present.
The rooms and hotel staff were excellent and we ate both nights in there and food was lovely and well presented. Very close to Bourton and also walks nearby if the weather had been better
The staff were great gave lots information. The food was great Room service was excellent
No logs for the pub fire one night, so cold and didn't stay for long. stayed Monday to Friday there was no real ale available till Thursday, a bit disappointing.
Wood burner in bar dogs welcome
Shower very powerful and hot tap turned wrong way
Hospitality clenliness value for money
Noise from above floorboards creaking
The staff The rooms The Sunday roast
The draught lager wasn't great. The bar was shut before closing time even for residents which was disappointing
The friendliness of staff and excellent food/accommodation
Shower was difficult to use
Proximity to the town was good. 2 min drive or 10 min walk. Was a nice place. Breakfast was brilliant!
No wifi in room, only in the bar/restaurant, so if you are a young couple like us and want to post pica of your trip, or do research into what to do etc, you have to go to the bar fpr wifi, and then theres a feeling of pressure to eat or drink there too. Shower was a bit hard to turn on and off. Tv a bit too small for the distance from the bed - though on holiday you dont really want to qatch too much tv obviously. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay! :)
Clean and friendly accommodation, pleasant staff, home cooked food well presented. I would gladly recommend this Hotel.
Service was a* and fantastic location will be sure to visit again
We were guests at a nearby wedding on new years , I had phoned to ask was it okay to collect the keys early as the wedding started at 12 . This wasn't a promblem the gentleman said . When we got back that night , the lady was extremely rude about the fact we had got the keys . There was a party on , we where asked to leave , it was extremely loud . You could also hear everything in the room next door . The shower also didn't work . The lady owner was so rude and aggressive.
Super, friendly staff. We enjoyed an excellent supper with friends and an equally excellent breakfast the following morning. Well furnished & comfortable bedroom with all the facilities one needs.
The water pressure in the bathroom was too high so one had to take care when turning taps on. The shower over the bath sprayed all over the place! Otherwise, the bathroom was lovely!
Rooms were great. Well furnished etc. Lovely pub. Food and drink fantastic. Open fire etc. Great staff. All in all excellent.
Breakfast not available until 8:30, not great if like our group (working nr Stow) you need to be away by 7:30 latest. Only a minor quibble however.
Good location. Easy walk into town
Our room was the bottom story. There was no sound insulation so was very noisy from upstairs. Could hear people walking, talking and using the bathroom.
The setting is beautiful, plenty of places to walk and the village is less than a 10 min walk away! The food is fantastic and a very generous breakfast! The hosts were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile.
Not much to wright here apart from the WiFi didnt reach the room (not that it bothered us really)
