Clean and friendly accommodation, pleasant staff, home cooked food well presented. I would gladly recommend this Hotel.
Service was a* and fantastic location will be sure to visit again
We were guests at a nearby wedding on new years , I had phoned to ask was it okay to collect the keys early as the wedding started at 12 . This wasn't a promblem the gentleman said . When we got back that night , the lady was extremely rude about the fact we had got the keys . There was a party on , we where asked to leave , it was extremely loud . You could also hear everything in the room next door . The shower also didn't work . The lady owner was so rude and aggressive.
Super, friendly staff. We enjoyed an excellent supper with friends and an equally excellent breakfast the following morning. Well furnished & comfortable bedroom with all the facilities one needs.
The water pressure in the bathroom was too high so one had to take care when turning taps on. The shower over the bath sprayed all over the place! Otherwise, the bathroom was lovely!
Rooms were great. Well furnished etc. Lovely pub. Food and drink fantastic. Open fire etc. Great staff. All in all excellent.
Breakfast not available until 8:30, not great if like our group (working nr Stow) you need to be away by 7:30 latest. Only a minor quibble however.
Good location. Easy walk into town
Our room was the bottom story. There was no sound insulation so was very noisy from upstairs. Could hear people walking, talking and using the bathroom.
The setting is beautiful, plenty of places to walk and the village is less than a 10 min walk away! The food is fantastic and a very generous breakfast! The hosts were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile.
Not much to wright here apart from the WiFi didnt reach the room (not that it bothered us really)
Facilities food and staff were all excellent
Lovely staff, great food (both dinner and breakfast), good location to explore the Cotswolds.
Our shower had excessively high pressure making it uncomfortable.
The location was excellent, just a short walk into Bourton on Water and good road links to pretty Cotswolds Villages eg Stow on the Wold, Broadway, The Slaughters etc. The accommodation was very comfortable, the staff were extremely helpful and the food was excellent.
There was nothing we didn't like
The location was good and the room well thought out
Unfortunately the shower was held up with cable ties, the plug was missing in the bath, the towel rail was loose and door hook was hanging off. For what we had paid to stay here these seemed things that could have easily been rectified and some of the staff just seemed not to be bothered. We had to wait outside to be 'let in' for breakfast
Very friendly staff and the hotel room was excellent both in facilities and cleanliness. The food we ate was of a very high standard and the waiting on staff very pleasant. Will surely return to this establishment at a later date.
Only complaint was location of hotel in regards to local faciities, car needed to get about.
Lovely clean accommodation and pleasant staff. Excellent food especially the breakfast .
Are evening main meal came out too quick after our starter . However the good was excellent
The staff where very helpful
The room needs a repaint
Location , easy walking distance to village. Room was lovely , nice bath
The room was great....excellent bed and facilities. Staff were good too. Lovely family atmosphere! Decent overall price! Location fantastic!
Thought food was a bit over priced and portions a bit small at dinner (2 small pieces of john dory with chips and salad for £16, 8oz ribeye...only steak option for £18). Also heating had not been turned on prior to our arrival (middle of December 1c outside) so room took a while to warm up. Breakfast menu said "choose from" however only allowed one egg, one sausage, one hash brown etc. Finally toilets in the bar could do with a clean up and redecorated.
Bedroon had been recently refurbished and was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious.
excellent accommodation, friendly staff.
breakfast not served early enough for business travellers
Everything was perfect from the room to the food. and the staff. Although we only stayed 1 night I would have been happy to stay for a week. Nothing was too much trouble.
Ambiance, welcome and food. Beds very comfortable. Adjacent to bourton on the water. Lovely friendly owners and staff including Pixie the staffie! Great value for money when you compare it to other similar pub accommodation. Will be back.
room was comfortable, though.......
No bath mat. Bedside lights far too dim to read by. No bedside switch for main ceiling light
IT WAS A HOTEL WHICH WAS VERY HOMELY WILL RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS
The room was not in the in the pub But in a seperate block in the car park with your own key. The meals were of a high standard and reasonable price. Two minutes from the centre of the village. Car parking no problems would return
Wonderful room (5 metres x 5 metres) with great fit out. Wonderful old pub with delicious meals.
Because the rooms are seperate from the pub there is no Wi Fi in the rooms. The Wi Fi in the pub is of a narrow band width type with 30 minute timed kick out.
We loved everything at this quaint but stylish property. The staff were lovely, the room was comfy, clean and plenty large enough with a nice modern bathroom. We had dinner there and enjoyed that and the breakfast was delicious!
To be picky we found the shower hard to turn on and difficult to turn off without getting cold water over you.
