The food was good and the staff were friendly
The taps were too stiff for working the shower.
Really nice, modern & spacious room. Great location. Friendly staff. Cosy bar area which was not too busy. Food is nice but pricey.
Food is way too expensive. Breakfast doesn't begin until 08:30 which is too late in my opinion.
parking is easy and close to the down of Burton-on-the-water, food is good especially including free breakfast
maybe the outside is too cold, so a big mosquito fly in the room
Rooms were evey clean and spacious and the staff ver helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
When showing guests to the rooms the plumbing system should be explained carefully! The shower and bath run on separate systems which is not immediately obvious.
The coach and horses has a nice cosy pub and restaurant. We had dinner there and it was fantastic. As was the fry up the next morning, which wasn't greasy at all. The rooms are beautiful and a good size.
We stayed on a Saturday and there was a party on. The smoking area is literally outside the guests’ accommodation and with party goers spilling out of the pub either for fresh air or smoking, there was no chance of catching any sleep until the party finished after 2am. There was no apology the next morning, although after making a request for compensation we were given £20 refund. I felt that we should have been told about the party beforehand so that we could have made an informed decision about staying there. The shower could benefit with a replacement. I found the shower difficult to operate as it’s held rigidly in place by cables with water flowing in all directions bar where you want it. I also think the room may get very cold in the winter as there is a big gap (draft) at the door. Would I stay again? I think if there was no party on, I would consider it. However, with the location of the smoking area, it’s always going to be noisy. One would have to stay up till the pub closing time to enjoy a good night sleep.
The room was lovely, hotel easy to find with friendly staff and good food!
the room was lovely big and clean comfy bed - power shower good car park and even on the fose way room was quiet
due to gippo fair in local town restaurant was closed - only a choice of 4 currys ( fine if you like home made currys ) this is now a Wednesday night special - no starters - ( no Nan bread ) breakfast starts at 8.30 am ( I didn't read this when I booked ) was way to late for me so missed it - but couldn't check out till 8.30 as place was locked
not that easy to find.
Great proximity to both stow and Burton. good accommodations .
We had to depart very early in the morning and therefore could not rate breakfast. We requested some food we could take away but were denied and told to drink the coffee/tea provided in the room.
The room was a good size and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the good home cooked food. Very good selection of teas/coffees etc and toiletries.
Unfortunately in our room the television was very temperamental and the shower head was broken. Sound proofing to upstairs room was not so good.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. Easy to find. parking next to the room.
Just a glitch with the TV during our stay, but we did not visit to watch tele!
Traveling with my parents, we had our own rooms. Rooms were spacious, (I had the two twin bed room) with good sized bathroom. The grounds were beautiful, quaint, and just what I imagined staying in the Cotswold's. The owner, and all the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and we enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
My parents bed was uncomfortable (in their own room) and the toilet in my bathroom did not flush well.
The room and bathroom were both nicely appointed and very comfortable. Parking close to the main A road is convenient and it is only 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water.
Breakfast, although good when served, from 08.30 - 09.30 is a little late for those who wish to get moving early in the day. Staff seemed less than fully engaged in what was clearly a quiet period for customers. And the real ale in the bar was not quite in best condition!
Ther was no one to stop guests havering a party to 4am I ask them to trun it down at2 3 and 4 ther shoud be some one ther it not a cheap b b
I asked for ground floor room if possible and they made sure we got one. Overall a pleasant stay.
Evening meal was ok but could have been a bit better. As we were at the latter part of the time designated for breakfast, the service was a bit slow and I had difficulty in getting any marmalade!
Food in the pub itself was terrific. Staff friendly. Room was pleasant Plenty tea and coffee available in room.
The outside door didn't seem to fit flush causing a slight draught. The Toilet seat was a little loose and moved when sat down! The Shower knob was almost so tight I couldn't move it, My husband had to turn on and off it was so stiff.
Good location, nice bed, friendly staff, fantastic food at the pub/restaurant (best burger I've eaten in my life!)
Only bad point was a few hairs in the bathroom from previous occupant.
Food out of this world, best we have had in along time. Perfect break with outstanding destinations nearby
Good location for area of interest. Good food. Clean and comfortable accommodation.
Comfy bed, a definite bonus. Dinner was fine.
Shower unit, unable to use. Fix draught on door will save on heating.
This pub/bb has it all, good food, beer, wine and service. The rooms are excellent, large and very clean. Plenty of car parking space.
We were in a room on the first floor with bad fitting balcony doors and as the hotel is on the A46 the road noise was high. Had to fold up sheets of newspaper and jam into door gaps to block out noise.
Management appeared to be absent, young Staff inexperienced, basic table settings, no side plate, butter or knife, not offered toast though there were jam/preserves available. Evening meal expensive and poorly cooked - Chef was repairing our door where the handle had fallen off! Shower not available for it was all 'wired' up so unusable. Toilet seat loose and posed a potential hazard. Never did find the shaving point in the bathroom!
Handy for the town.parking no problem.staff polite and helpful.
We were there for 2 nights. Bed not made, bins not emptied hair in plug hole of bath ?not ours?.beds not comfortable.had meal first night ribeye steak should have been medium was well done and tough.NOT GOOD.
Position, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, car parking.
Taps too powerful and turned the wrong way and kept flooding the floor.
Nice room and very nice breakfast. Staff were very friendly.
Over-Zealous shower! Lucky it didn't wear a hole in the bathroom. They are getting it fixed though!
