Position, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, car parking.
Taps too powerful and turned the wrong way and kept flooding the floor.
Nice room and very nice breakfast. Staff were very friendly.
Over-Zealous shower! Lucky it didn't wear a hole in the bathroom. They are getting it fixed though!
Had a twin room which was large and comfortable. Although it was on a busy road the accommodation is set back from the road and wasn't at all noisy. It's not right in the village but close enough with a car.
The floor from the room above was a bit creaky.
Blind broken so no way of shutting out the light. Quite noisy as on a main road. Near nice villages but hotel itself just on a main road.
Close proximity of Bourton on Water village. Good breakfast. Easy access to main road. Good parking
Noise from passing traffic all night. Very little sound proofing in floor of room above although the room was excellent.
Location very good
Found previous occupants clothes in drawer. Bathroom shower very hard to operate. Asked to leave at 10am although booked until 11am.
The food was superb! Both evening meal and breakfast were well prepared and cooked. We were in the King size room 'Burford' on the first floor. The room was airy and well decorated. The management and staff were friendly and welcoming and the decor is very tastetfull and well done. We'd happily stay there again.
Although we were on the top floor, the boards creaked and the soundproofing was almost non existent. We must have kept our downstairs neighbours awake walking on the squeaking floor and they kept us awake coughing in the night. Although that's the fabric of the building and I'm sure the hosts inherited that (it's certainly no reflection on them), I'm glad we were upstairs!
location, dinning area and basically the food was o.k, but limited choice.
Cold plates on service, no allowance for a Gluten Free diet. Total lack of atmosphere in the lounge, a little music would have helped. Maintenance seemed to be ongoing, i.e loose towel rail, 4 light fittings not working and loose toilet seat. Noise from up-stairs was very noticeable at night. Would have liked a more comfortable easy chair x2.
Friendly welcome and staff
Traffic noise cold plates at breakfast not offered cereal not offered toast or preserves/marmarlade
Friendly staff. Within easy reach of village. Walkable to the pretty villages of the Slaughters.
Breakfast was 45 minutes late. Shower didn't work properly. Quite a lot of noise fro busy road.
Friendly staff, great food, excellent room, a real gem
Nothing, loved it all
Food menu, only 3 options. Food very poor value for money, pork burger on cheap sesame bun. Young bar/restaurant staff very unprofessional, we felt this really brought the place down
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was excellent.
Housekeeping problem as our room had not been serviced by 3:00pm of the second day. It was attended to after it was brought to the staff's attention.
The room was very good and the dinner was good, if expensive. The steak pie was particularly good.
The breakfast, considering the high price paid for B&B, was very disappointing. No fruit, limited cereals and limited juice. Sausages very poor.
Tv not working , despite many complaints , nobody even looked at it. Blind in window didn't work , and they ran out of orange juice with breakfast
Staff Room/decor Food
Bar was a bit adrift, favourite lager was off and the real ale was still 'settling' after 24 hours.
The staff were friendly and the food was great
The service was hit and miss; the landlords overslept one morning so breakfast was >30 minutes late; there was no maid service; the shower was broken and taped on to the shower holder. The bed and furniture were too big for the room so it was difficult to get in/out of bed without hurting yourself
Presentation of the rooms was excellent, service first class, refurbished public rooms very tasteful and the food wonderful. This is one of the best B&Bs we've every stayed in and we would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting high quality accommodation in the Cotswolds at a sensible price.
TV remote was very eccentric, needing to be switched on and off to re-set. Shower was a bit of a fright, drenching with freezing cold water - it would help if the head could be moved to a lower position until it warmed up. We understand that several of the showers are to be replaced - hopefully, it includes the one in Broadway room!
Our one night stay to see bouton on water area was enjoyable and coach and horses stay was all that we wanted and comfortable too, easy walk to village, good parking , very helpful staff , good food,
Nothing worth mentioning
Comfortable bedding Good Location Good Food
Bathrooms in one of the ground floor rooms had a broken shower handle. We weren't made aware of this and had to discover it only in the morning. It was quite difficult to take a shower as a result of this, as there wasn't any other alternative.
comfy bed, clean room, good selection of refreshments and toiletries in the room, good location, good food
restaurant service very slow, lots of road noise, could do with double glazing, shower was difficult to use
Very clean and comfortable room, with excellent facilities. Lovely breakfast :)
No food available on the night we stayed, due to kitchen having a deep clean this was a shame as it meant we had to go out to eat after a day of travelling.
Recently refurbished, great food, very welcoming staff.
