Lovely clean accommodation and pleasant staff. Excellent food especially the breakfast .
Are evening main meal came out too quick after our starter . However the good was excellent
The staff where very helpful
The room needs a repaint
Location , easy walking distance to village. Room was lovely , nice bath
The room was great....excellent bed and facilities. Staff were good too. Lovely family atmosphere! Decent overall price! Location fantastic!
Thought food was a bit over priced and portions a bit small at dinner (2 small pieces of john dory with chips and salad for £16, 8oz ribeye...only steak option for £18). Also heating had not been turned on prior to our arrival (middle of December 1c outside) so room took a while to warm up. Breakfast menu said "choose from" however only allowed one egg, one sausage, one hash brown etc. Finally toilets in the bar could do with a clean up and redecorated.
Bedroon had been recently refurbished and was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious.
excellent accommodation, friendly staff.
breakfast not served early enough for business travellers
Everything was perfect from the room to the food. and the staff. Although we only stayed 1 night I would have been happy to stay for a week. Nothing was too much trouble.
Ambiance, welcome and food. Beds very comfortable. Adjacent to bourton on the water. Lovely friendly owners and staff including Pixie the staffie! Great value for money when you compare it to other similar pub accommodation. Will be back.
room was comfortable, though.......
No bath mat. Bedside lights far too dim to read by. No bedside switch for main ceiling light
IT WAS A HOTEL WHICH WAS VERY HOMELY WILL RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS
The room was not in the in the pub But in a seperate block in the car park with your own key. The meals were of a high standard and reasonable price. Two minutes from the centre of the village. Car parking no problems would return
Wonderful room (5 metres x 5 metres) with great fit out. Wonderful old pub with delicious meals.
Because the rooms are seperate from the pub there is no Wi Fi in the rooms. The Wi Fi in the pub is of a narrow band width type with 30 minute timed kick out.
We loved everything at this quaint but stylish property. The staff were lovely, the room was comfy, clean and plenty large enough with a nice modern bathroom. We had dinner there and enjoyed that and the breakfast was delicious!
To be picky we found the shower hard to turn on and difficult to turn off without getting cold water over you.
Room standard was excellent. The food on offer was also excellent. Great service and amenities.
Good food nice and quiet location very helpful staff
We liked the immediate warm welcome from the owner and friendly staff who were very accommodating. The bar was very quaint and cosy. The room was very suitable with a super comfy bed. Breakfast and food excellent and very good value for money. We had a lovely two night break. We will definitely return, hopefully in better dry weather!
The mini cab driver (from Burford) who wanted to charge £20 return into the village of Bourton which was a 5 minute drive! The shower head was broken, but worked suitably well. The television had a mind of its own and the picture and volume kept going on and off.
pleasant room, good size, nicely furnished. Nice welcoming bar and restaurant.
The only negative is that the bathroom could do with a bit of TLC,eg. chipped paintwork, shower knob very stiff, but otherwise, all was good.
Fantastic staff and delicious food as a woman travelling alone I felt safe and cared for.
Bed a bit lumpy the mattress obviously well used. Perhaps time for a new one?
Staff were fantastic
We weren't expected so booking .com hadn't passed details over. The room cleaning was only average ie towels in the bath weren't changed
Comfortable room Clean and spacious bathroom - with a bath!! Lovely food (breakfast and dinner) Amazing hospitality - very pleasant staff
Televison was a bit temperamental as was the shower, but manageable
Bourton on the Water is a stunning village so the proximity to this was good.
Road noise - On the main Stowe Road. Bathroom was hopeless! Impossible to control water temperature and pressure independently. This meant that to have a warm shower the water pressure was unmanageably high and the whole bathroom was wet as the small panel meant to contain the water was hopelessly inadequate. Needs to be replaced by a larger screen or a shower curtain. TV didn't work properly - every time we wanted to change channel the TV froze and needed to be turned off and back on, Bathroom floor and toilet not cleaned properly when we arrived. Rubbish bins not emptied during our 3 night stay even though the room was serviced. Spare pillows in wardrobe had hairs on them. We had breakfast there 3 times and not once did our order get done correctly. Waitresses need to write down the orders. Had dinner once in the restaurant - over priced and average in quality. No internet in rooms and not working properly in the lounge despite being told it would. Unable to contact hosts without going down a flight of stairs and across the car park - need a phone in rooms to communicate with management. Since staying we have read their online reviews and find that all our issues have been repeatedly mentioned and it is sad that these have not been addressed.
The Room, The staff, The food and location. Everything was great. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend, looking forward to going back again,
All round very good n
Very nice accommodation, reasonable price, centrally located to tour the Cotswolds
A good sized room, with good facilities with a comfortable bed.
We would definately recommend the Coach and Horses. The hotel is quite close to the road so traffic noise could bother some people. Wasn't a problem for us and we really enjoyed our stay. English breakfast was good though evening menu a little limited.
