This former 19th-century schoolhouse has been converted into a comfortable hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Himley Hotel is located on the Shropshire border, on the edge of Dudley.
Score from 597 reviews Good
The room and the hotel generally was very clean, the owner friendly and welcoming, and the (freshly cooked) breakfast can only be described as excellent. Good value for money.
Unfortunately the heating in our room hadn't been turned on in advance, and it was a very cold day so it took a while to warm up.
The owner was really helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel was very clean and in a good location would definitely recommend
Great location, easy access to everywhere in Bridgnorth. The room was spotless, with a lovely comfortable bed. The Coach House overall is kept to a high standard and nicely decorated. Highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which was divine.
Luxurious would probably cover it. From the personal welcome, the gorgeous room with original, and high, beamed ceiling and hospitality provisions, modern facilities of the en-suite shower room complete with generous toiletries. The bed was so LUSH and room so quiet I slept soundly till comprehensive treat breakfast.
Having to say "see you again soon" to my Hostess. No twin rooms (yet) to accommodate my son and I visiting - oh well I'll enjoy the indulgence of The Coach House on my solo visits:-)
Small bedroom and en-suite
we've now stayed in nearly all the B&B in brignorth and I think this is the best one, clean rooms, nice breakfast, reasonable cost with a place to park, gold dust in Bridgnorth. Definately worth a try.
it's a bit noisy on the front as it's a major busy road, but we did have the window open. But it won't stop us staying there again
good location, parking available, excellent breakfast
Staff Breakfast Location
Modern and clean. Evening meal good. Breakfast good with lots of fruit.
Parking inadequate if it had been busy. The room was small with furniture not in scale with the size of the room. En suite cramped. Steep stairs to the rooms .
Staff was freindly and welcoming! Rooms were lovely and the breakfast was quality. Would recommend to stay there again.
The coach house was clear and comfy, the owners were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic, would definitely start again x
Would willing recommend to family and friends
Purchased a bottle of wine with our meal at a cost of £15 that i have discovered is available at other outlets as two for £5.
Good location on edge of town.Room comfortable with all amenities.very good breakfast
Bathroom quite small
very clean, staff were friendly excellent choice of breakfast would recommend to friends. had a pleasent time
In good location . Lovely room and breakfast . Would come again x
A warm and friendly welcome by the owner and shown immediately to our room with no fuss. Excellent room and facilities, excellent meal in the owner's restaurant. We'd definitely go back when in the area again.
Nothing to dislike
made to feel at home. friendly atmosphere.excellent staff
pleasant helpful staff. Excellent food both breakfast and evening .Nice lounge to relax in after meals
a couple of things in the bathroom could do with replacing or replacing namely toilet flush and sink plug .Very steep access to bedrooms
very friendly hosts and staff, excellent food, well equipped rooms with t.v. hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Clean towels each day. Very close to local amenities, plenty of pubs and restaurants if you don't want to eat at the coach house.
There was one thing that I didn't like about the room. I have a back problem which means I am used to a firm mattress and this one was quite soft. We only stayed for 2 nights so it didn't cause me too much of a problem but it wouldn't be any good for someone with a more serious back problem than mine. This is not a criticism as they obviously can't cater for everyone's individual needs in such a small hotel and has not put me off returning there again at all although next time I will contact the owners and ask if there are any firmer beds than the one we had. We were in room 5.
Never had a problem parking at the hotel
The landlady could not do enough for us: she made a doggy bag for breakfast because we said we couldn't make it. They are just flexible there. THey are so polite and lovely, will definititely recommend it to anyone.
Very friendly, very clean, comfortable beds and nice shower. Good breakfast and very close to the centre of town. Would definitely stay again.
A little road noise but for us did not detract from our stay, minor point.
Comfortable, great location, very clean and beautiful fresh breakfast!!
Bit tricky for my partner to stand and use the toilet due to very low beams
Came across The Coach House on our travels around the UK. Excellent accommodation in a beautiful town, Bridgnorth. Fantastic food would definatly stay again.
