Not being able to find, and rude Neighbour who pretended she knew nothing, turned out a relative.
Unexpected DIY breakfast was really very nice.
Temperamental shower temperature - mainly scorching.
On arrival i didnt know what to expect but the layout is adequate with a large room with twin beds, TV - sadly could not get this to work, and so TV man came out and replaced digi box fridge/freezer, microwave and abundance of tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits and self service continental breakfast supplies. en suite was very clean and towels and soaps provided also very good.
The downside was that i was woken by barking dogs at 7.30am. This i first thought was another guests dogs but by 9am i got a little annoyed and realised it was coming from next door. I have to say this was quite awful as they kept barking all morning. I was meant to be typing a report but the noise was definitely off putting. The TV man came to mend the digi box and said its like this all the time!!
everything was magical everything was magicaleverything was magicaleverything was magicaleverything was magicaleverything was magicaleverything was magicaleverything was magical
From the outside we wondered what place this would be. But we found it clean, everything worked, well organised and comfortable.
Slightly limited parking space at full occupancy.
It was very relaxing you had all the amenities you could wish for and nothing was too much trouble. We had our GSD who is 5 and half months old and she got a nice little present when we got there which we thought was very thoughtful. Owner very friendly and we would go back.
Directions were a bit scanty it is not the easiest place to find in the dark. Some noise from the dogs next door in the morning.
Peace and quite. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. The fact that the local pub would pick us up and take us back if we were having a meal.
the room was quite comfortable and the beds were acceptable. The outside of the property looked very attractive and promised well.
The breakfast was not quite as expected. Most was in a freezer and when toasted or microwaved was not particularly tasteful. The parking was very difficult being extremely crowded when the rooms were all full. The booking in etc. was very confusing.
quaint building ,pleasantly situated and adapted.
lack of signage.easy to miss
Rooms are very cramped
Nice big spacious room, clean with nice hot shower and comfy bed in a quite location
Poor, poor food, individually wrapped bread & crumpets with pots of beans in the freezer that you have to put in toaster, that's the breakfast, not good
The lady who runs it is very sweet and tries to be helpful.
Parking is a problem - very tight space. The room was cold but heating not on, decor needs updating. There needs to be more variety for breakfast and more quantity of bread. There was no toilet roll holder in shower room and no towel rail - so nowhere to hang towel or clothes.
Quiet countryside location. Self service continental breakfast.
Not enough parking for guests. Unable to get printed receipt.
Lovely local pub with very nice landlady.
We rang to confirm cot for child but when arrived told no cot and "we really don't do babies. Very unhelpful and we had to find a cot ourselves. Do it yourself breakfast with articles packed in cling film by old lady who we presume owned place not toowell packed. not too clean in room and bathroom.
Breakfast was D.I.Y!
Facilities provided were like a bed sit A room with twin beds kettle microwave fridge toaster. DIY breakfast in fridge inc bread crumpets in the freezer.
Spiders everywhere lots dead but many alive. Middle of nowhere.
It was clean, and beds were ok, nice lady
This should not be advertised as continental breakfast microwaveable beans and frozen bread are certainly not. Choice of two yogurts and four different cereals very poor. Room smelt very musty very poor parking.to pay by card had to squeeze in shower room with lady so that she could get a signal to take payment hilarious would definitely not recommend definitely not value for money wish I had read reviews first.
Duvets excellent Generous provisions for breakfast
Very tierd, faded pictures and lots of basics missing (eg towel rail and shelf in bathroom) Breakfast was selfmade in room. Noise from motorway No coverfor skylight velux
Beds were clean & comfy Towels & bathroom was clean adequate food provided & dog was allowed to stay
The constant barking all night from neighbours dog The fridge made a humming noise all the time The floors were freezing needs a rug Needs a tea towel to dry pots . Very over priced not worth £60 per night
Hot, powerful shower.
Barking dogs next door (and abusive owner). Dust & cobwebs. Musty smell in room. Frozen bread & microwave beans for breakfast. Ageing mattresses.
Ironing board to use Fridge Towels replaced every day Helpful host Folder with useful info
An outside light by our window was annoying at night. The entrance to the b&b needs the greenery cut back Neighbours dog was a bit annoying
Friendly and welcoming staff with a good knowledge of the local area. Clean room with everything you need, including plenty of food available.
Large room, nice setting
Room smelled damp; breakfast was poor - no cooked option just canned fruit/microwave baked beans, frozen bread etc, No mobile phone network coverage, no wifi network coverage
Room equipped with all that you could need. Nothing was to much trouble for Hazel, very nice Lady
Only downside....Parking a bit tight
The communications with the owner were good and helpful. Clean & comfortable accommodation.
The room layout was too cluttered - I would suggest having the beds at the other end of the room so that the doorway is clearer. As breakfast is taken in the room, a tea towel would have been useful.
