Hotel itself ok good bar, decent food and close to town and walks.

The room should only have been for a single person but an extra bed was stuck in but no storage space or wardrope very small and cramped. Could not have stayed for any longer than one night. Couldn't reserve a table for dinner even though we were resident in the hotel. Found this very strange, luckily we eventually got a table but it was really late on and the place was very busy by that time with night time drinkers.

Friendly, helpful, welcoming, home cooked food, great reception, fantastic stay for four bikers who were all soaking wet on arrival!!!

Warm friendy welcome good service relaxing bar

Especially Rob has been a great host. Whilst this is being a family run business through and through, he still kept a professional manner without being overbearing. He has been very attentive, drew us a little map for a walk around the area, which was stunning. The food in the bar was very nice so we decided to order seconds 30 mins past the time we were told the kitchen would be closed. This went without saying. Amazing customer service. Keep it up. We will be back. Fabian P.S.: Maybe think about sourcing local butcher sausages for breakfast. There must be some nice local produce out there that doesn't kill your margins.

The en suite room (Lomond) was a good size, warm and inviting, with a 'feature bed' (very comfortable), and had excellent views from both windows. Other areas of the hotel, namely the guest lounge and dining room, were also tastefully decorated. There is a cosy lounge/bar which was reasonably priced and serves food. I had Vegetable Risotto which, to my surprise, was the tastiest risotto I've ever had. My partner had the 1/4lb Burger and enjoyed it. In the morning, my partner had the full breakfast and I opted for the vegetarian equivalent. This was excellent! Staff were very friendly, attentive and made every effort to make us feel welcome. We stayed from Dec 31 - Jan 1 and felt that, at £120, it was excellent value.

We had a very warm welcome from the owners. The room was lovely and the facilities were very good.

There wasn't anything that we did not like.

We were welcomed in a friendly atmosphere. The room was ok. Food was very good, with plenty of possibilities to avoid the standard hamburger or cheesburger.

the location was ideal, the proprieters were friendly, the room was cosy with a lovely mountain view and the breakfast was tasty.

i thought my stay was excellent,really excellent food and for me was absolutely spotless with no dust etc at all.....bedcovers were clean and smelled lovely exceptional cleanliness made my stay a lot more enjoyable........lounge was very busy on sat night which was even better,made a better atmosphere......please go feeling no worries at all.. david and bridget walker..xx

the staff [owners] went the extra mile to assure that our stay was relaxed and comfortable . the dining room is a treat and i was given special breakfast because of my special diet . they were very friendly and patient with my very elderly dad . wonderful
