It's a beautiful house, the breakfast room is very nicely renovated. Our room, very nicely refurbished too, was large, bright and comfortable. Nice view on the river. Owners welcoming.
Food with no imagination. Such a pleasant hotel deserves a better cook.
owners are very freindly, rooms lovley and comfortable, loved the fact that we could eat and drink as well as be entertained by live music all in one place, also lovely walks in surrounding area and close proximity to other tourist sites and lochs
Our room was lovely. The staff were great and the hotel itself is excellent. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Our evening meal was yummy and the menu choice is very good.
Our only disappointment were the sausages served at breakfast they were anaemic and tasteless.
Staff was very friendly and the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We had a good time with the live band at the pub and breakfast was great!
We got to the hotel very hungry, after a long day of driving. We did'nt worry about dinner as they had a pub downstairs, but we were surprised to learn they only serve meals until 8pm.
Lovely looking Hotel, built in 1879, beautiful dinning room, bedroom was gorgeous and comfortable with great views. The whirlpool bath was epic. The staff were lovely as was Bandit their lovely doggy. The food was fine. Fab choice of fiction and non-fiction books in their library and extensive dvd selection to choose from.
Great family, yet professional service. Great location. Good room. Quiet for sleeping. Etc.
A little pricey for shared bathroom, but the whole of Scotland was booked solid for the time I was there so not surprising!
Friendly staff very helpfully.
Although food was very good it could with a bit more effort be excellent.
Loved having the pub attached. Made it so convenient to just go downstairs for an ale and dinner after a long day out.
Nice place to stay
Not a lot
Location, Comfortable room with four poster bed.
Wifi was impossible to connect to, breakfast was very mean looking. Shower room next door to bedroom was small, and filthy. Mildew in corners.
The Room the village location the area
Nothing to comment on
comfortable and very clean room, pleasant, helpful staff.
The only downside was that the breakfast was not great. It would be nice if decaf coffee were available, if the cold cereal choices were better (not sugar soaked prepackaged Kellogg's stuff) and if the available fruit were fresh. I think most people would be willing to pay a couple of pounds more per night for a somewhat spruced up breakfast.
Hospitality of the owners was superb. Very friendly place and spotlessly clean and well run. Live band at night in the bar was excellent. We would certainly return to this hotel.
Very pleasant staff, comfortable en-suite rooms [we were 2 retired couples], and surprisingly quiet at night despite bring on main Killin road. All in all, a good night's rest.
Only complaint by all 4 of us much traveled guests, was the disappointingly weak tea and coffee at breakfast. Today, a higher standard is so easily attainable that, when deficient, is cause for displeasure.
Spacious room with great view. Food simple but v good Staff v friendly sent us on. A walk to Loch Tay was fab!
Everything, good breakfast, nice food in the bar and nice bedroom.
nothing to dislike
Good comfy bed and spacious room. Music entertainment at the bar.
curtains that do not block out the light and the food was poor.
quaint old pub with great atmosphere - friendly staff and great pub food!
Our landlord drove us to the start of a forest walk. The breakfasts were excellent served in a very pleasant room. Pub meals were also tasty and filling. A good library.
Entertainment was a bonus the bar was good and breakfast service was good with friendly staff
