Spacious well equipped clean room, good food with good service. My wife had a suffered a nasty cut to her leg resulting in a trip to the A&E Dept of Monklands hospital. This was caused by bumping her leg on the corner of the bed frame. The frame extended beyond the mattress by 4to6 in. And was not visible at first as it was covered with a throw. An accident report was made. The situation needs to be addressed urgently as the Hotel could find itself sued by a more litigious couple.

The hotel was central to Kilsyth, and my place of business. The hotel staff were friendly, and the food in the restaurant was excellent and there was plenty of it. The rooms were of a good standard and very clean. For a double room the bathrooms were very small and compact.

Nothing some of the staff are more interested in the yobos who decide there for weekend drinks and discos, guests seem not to be important, Room floors were dirty, watered down shower gel , worn out towels, keep wakened by extracror fan outside window , reported it and nothing was done , load music for the 2 nights of stay by the regular yobo.s basic breakfast which consisted of 1 slice of bacon , 1 slice of black pudding , I sausage , I very small mushroom , 1 egg, and a spoonful of beans, watered down orange juice, toaster that did not toast properly , no disability facilities , will never stay at the hotel again and should be reviewed about its 3 stars, not worth the money,if you wanted a remote for tv , you had to pay a charge,no room service for a 3 star hotel,

Not to far off the motorway for an overnight stop whilst travelling. Room adequate for this purpose and breakfast included in the price. Could get an evening meal in bar downstairs without having to go out searching for somewhere.

Staff very friendly and helpful Stairs have handrail on one side only. I only have use of one arm/hand therefore I had difficulty coming downstairs. Rooms need some upgrading - wallpaper hanging off. Reception desk dull and not very welcoming although staff very welcoming.

The waitress at breakfast was polite and helpful. Smell of cooking (and burning!) throughout the reception area. I was asked for a £10 deposit for the remote control which I did not get back. The noise from the bar was audible in my room until late into the night. Whilst I was changing for the wedding that I was attending the fire alarm went off. I waited a few minutes to see if it would stop, but it didnt so I read instructions on back of door, used nearest fire exit and left the hotel to muster point. I was only person there. I went back into the hotel through the bar area and asked staff if there was a fire. The Bar person shrugged her shoulders and said it was probably the kitchen, Went to reception to be told again that "it was probably the kitchen". Receptionist barely looked up at me. Went back to room, fire alarm still going!!! No apologies from anybody. Was extremely concerned that if the alarm rang in the night should I ignore it or leave and risk being locked out of hotel in my nightie!!

Restaurant had a good choice of food, which of a reasonable standard. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was disturbed at 4.30am by the early rising occupant in the room next to me because the walls were thin. The aerial cable had been pulled from the fixing and needed minor repairs before I could use the tv and the shower was cold in the morning (which may explain why my neighbour took his so early!). It's a shame because overall the hotel was too bad.
