The room, staff, breakfast and location were great.

The pub was empty and had no atmosphere with poor beer choice.

Friendly and cooperative staff, good service, quiet off-the-beaten-track location. Our lady host even volunteered to do our laundry! This type of establishment deserves support in light of rates of pub closures in the U.K.

Only one real ale on pump.

Personal attention, staff, especially Debbie, fresh food. The only place that I have stayed in which you feel the owner and staff are personally concerned that you are looked after and have a good stay. A narrow menu but kept that way so that the food is good and fresh. I found this treatment to make for a truly refreshing stay.

Good size, comfortable room, in adjacent building with adequate parking. Very clean and very polite staff. Breakfast was good but toast was extra?

Unfortunately the menu was wrong and they didn't have my first 2 choices. But what I had was tasty, though a little small.

nice room, well equipped & clean friendly welcome good value for money good breakfast included good location in the middle of Glemsford

entry/exit to the car park is difficult (narrow road, narrow entrance, parked cars opposite and no view either way on exit) the pub itself is rather quiet (although there are three others in Glemsford if this is an concern)

Very friendly staff - landlady was very helpful when she heard how difficult it had been to reach hotel and gave quick route back to main roads. Menu limited but very good steak. Comfortable room with good facilities.

No Guinness despite the taps on the bar.

    Room shower breakfast staff

No soap, single room bed too small for adult, getting out of car park safely, mirrors opposite may help

The room was comfortable and clean and the food very good. The young staff were very friendly and eager to be of help.

The food was good though choice limited but we were told more dishes are to be added to the menu soon. The young staff were lovely but did lack some basic niceties like not handling cutlery by the end that goes into your mouth and please don't put fingers into glasses to carry them!

Nice friendly staff, breakfast perfect & excellent room

After driving past it 3 times finally found it, had constant creeking from upstairs room which kept us awake (FLOORBOARDS BAD) and the noise at 6am of car turning up and banging it's doors so night sleep POOR

I liked it! Again a little off the beaten track, tucked away and therefore 'real' and quirky. Just what I like.

Getting out of the car park as it was blind onto the road and I could not see. So I parked on the road the next night!

quiet location, with comfortable single room, but reasonably dated. Family run and friendly helpful staff. Quite good value for money and enjoyable cooked breakfast.

The pub only opens 5 days a week and during my stay I seemed to be only customer, so went to other local pubs, which were far more busy. A small thing, but they could do better than provide a 5p plastic cup in room for a drink. It costs little to supply a proper glass.
