The staff is very welcoming and helpful
The worst bed we have ever slept (or not slept!) on! We have stayed several times but this was a really awful bed
Location very handy for my visit
Road noise and cold due to single glazed window in bathroom. Shower not very powerful.
Friendly staff, cosy room. Nice building and very handy having restraurant next door in a beautiful building. Will visit again.
The fact it was convenient, hosting an event we were in attendance.
Poor staffing, no receptionist to book us in, had to wait on a waitress to come from the main bar. LCking bar staff in the event, lack of selection of drinks, had to keep going to main building for bar service. Decent breakfast !
The hotel was clean and warm. Plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good. The food in the bar/restaurant was good value for money. The staff in the hotel were exceptional.
When breakfast was added to the room cost it was not such a good price could have gone to a better class of hotel
The friendly staff made us feel so welcome on arrival. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had truly first class and served with a smile.
The room was damp with black mould around the windows. The windows needed double glazing as very noisy and cold. The bathroom shower had no power and you could hear the next door people having a dispute. Not good and would not go back to stay there again..
good food at the pub on site.staff helpful and nice breakfast
Hard to find as post code doesn't show up correctly on sat nav.
The location is very convenient. The room was okay.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was very good although there was quite a wait. The bar was well stocked and good value. Personally I would definitely stay here again.
Loved the size of room For £39 cant complain!!! Staff were friendly in hotel and pub :)
Bed was a tad too hard for my liking.
Room needed attention to detail. Headboard broken. Heavy dust on skirting board and floor edge. Valance sheet on bed dirty with heavy dust. No wifi connection
Rooms too hot, unable to open window us due to road noise, room not cleaned after first night, only one set of towels when asked for second set they were left outside door on floor all day.
Very pleasant and helpful staff Bed very comfortable Lovely room, included a sitting room Restaurant on site Real old world charm to building.Very close to shopping area
Too hot and the air conditioning was immediately above the bed which made a cold draught when switched on.
Breakfast was excellent
Needed a bit of Tlc inside on the decor and flooring
Easy to find, close to main roads, several supermarkets close by, a pub on site. Good access to area.
I arrived later in the evening shortly before reception closed. Although I expected some noise, the traffic noise in the room was louder than expected and caused sleep problems. My 'quiet room' was not. I later found out that a guest had been moved earlier from this room due to a faulty window catch.I spoke with the receptionist in the morning. She was helpful and professional.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly, overall it was good value for money
option for family room not all crammed into one small room but two rooms, both of good size beds very comfortable
no bath in the room bit strange for a family room
Clean room and bathroom
Our room was small and bed a bit lumpy but was ok for one night
I found the staff friendly, the service was good, breakfast was incredible and the location was perfect for what we wanted. (Didn't use the Wi-Fi so no idea how it was)
There was some billing confusion between booking.com and the hotel's computer billing system. I don't know where the fault lay but as a result some of our party were charged for breakfast when it was clearly included in the reservation made with booking.com. Happily the hotel immediately provided a refund to those affected (which was very nice - kudos). It does make me worry about future reservations with booking.com. I would advise contacting hotels directly to confirm costs after the booking has been made.
Breakfast was excellent
Unfortunately, we had noist neighbours late at night.
The bed was comfortable
the slopping roof in the bedroom and bathroom, banged my head a few times.
mirrors in rooms need to be placed where there is an electric socket.
Convenient for our onward journey to London. Very pleasant staff. Enjoyed our evening meal which didn't cost an arm and leg. Very good breakfast.
Two handles missing off drawers in our room.
