Warm welcome, friendly service and great food and drinks.
Friendly staff good selection on the menu ,breakfast was a great starter for the day.
Car park, one car so badly parked it took up almost 3 spaces
Friendly staff good food nice room
Bed to soft
There was nothing that I didn't like about this lovely hotel. A short distance from Keswick in a beautiful setting in Braithwaite. Staff friendly, room lovely, breakfast fantastic, bar food good value for money. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with biscuits an added bonus these days.
Nothing to report, Would give this hotel a ten out of ten.
room was superb, food was good breakfast was just right with superb staff service very friendly
Always a warm welcome, rooms are immaculate, good food and good value for money
can't find any fault
Very nice and tranquil location. Easy 5 minute travel by bus or car to Keswick. Staff are very friendly. Good breakfast
Only negative note is a lack of WiFi in our room. Possibly applies to other rooms. Perhaps the drawback of being an old building. WiFi can be accessed in certain locations in the hotel.
All staff were friendly and helpful , but the breakfast waitress , Pam , was a gem!
Room recently refurbished but my wife found the shower poor , couldn't,t rinse hair properly. Otherwise fine.
- food reasonable quality and price (think pub grub rather than gastro) -breakfast good -room clean and bed comfortable -en suite modern fittings -good beer It is a comfortable traditional inn which provided comfortable accommodation and food. I was staying here as a base for 4 days walking on the northern fells. It was perfect for me. All staff were friendly and helpful.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Character of building Friendly staff Room Local beers Food
Excellent location, wonderful views
We liked this hotel for several different reasons. The bar food and beers were excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating. The bedrooms were stylish and spacious with great views. Facilities, particularly the upstairs guest lounge were very good.
Nothing to speak of.
Wonderful warm welcome. Gary, his wife Carol & staff were excellent throughout our stay, newly refurbished rooms were cosy & very comfortable tastefully decorated. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal & then relaxed with drinks by roaring open fires in the bar. Will certainly be making return visits .
The lack of sign posting, not very easy to find even when inside the village it's self. However finally spotted at top of hill through having seen its photograph on web site.
We were made to feel very special. Fantastic staff who make the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. Lovely place in an amazing location.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfy, cosy , warm atmosphere. Great food at reasonable prices. Rooms updated to a high standard. Stunning location and views.
Minor issue as actual location was quite hard to find as postcode did not show in Satnav.
I liked the welcome, the log fires, the service and friendliness of the staff. The bedroom was very cosy.
It was a bit hot in the night but not a real problem. Would have enjoyed hot chocolate on the tray in the room though!
The staff were very understanding when I asked to change my room in order to be closer to my Dad. The joining rooms we stayed in were excellent and I am going to request them again for future visits.
It was a little chilly later on in the evening until the night storage heater came on but it was a very cold wintery night outside so we did not mind and used the lovely tartan shawls to keep toasty.
It's a lovely hotel. We love the fact that we can take the dogs with us and that they were made to feel as welcome as we were. We will be going back.
Having to come home.
Ray: I'm hard yet soft, I am coloured yet clear, I am fruity and sweet. I am jelly. What am I? Donald: Jelly. Ray: Yeeeeees. used as a base for mountain biking and the hotel and staff are so chilled and accomadating, nothings a problem you feel welcomed and trusted .
Home from Home, everyone very friendly , staff and customers .
pretty much everything, had a lovely time..
wifi was weak in hotel other than 2nd floor near the router, however didn't detract from enjoyment, couldn't use phone which probably enhanced it...
Very good chilout.
Everyone was very helpful particularly when we had a problem with our car - I could not praise the Coledale Inn enough.
Once you get there, this Hotel is worth the visit. Good food, Friendly staff and a comfortable room
The hotel is at the end of a narrow unmade lane. Without SatNav, difficult to find. Not well signed from the village (It was dusk when we arrived so I might have missed a sign.) Car Parking was also an issue. It took forever to find a spot.
