We can take our dog. An increasing amount of families and couples these days have a pet. They are part of a family and it is fantastic to see hotels, B & B's and Inns welcoming pets. Crackers our Springer Spaniel loved it. The meals were top nosh and the fact that you can park up, forget it and walk in and out without traffic is also a bonus. Spotless rooms & friendly, felpful staff too. Ten out of ten. Thank you.

Great location, lovely rooms and great staff

The stairs - carting 2 heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs was difficult.

Good situation - lovely views from the rooms and good walking from the hotel. Historic interest, good beer and a lovely garden to enjoy it in.

Only one niggle. Due to historic building, the shower cubicle was a bit small.

We received a warm welcome, help with our bags, had a wonderful meal and a comfortable night. Breakfast was lovely. This was a wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and comfortable.

Lovely relaxed dog friendly manner which made our short stay very enjoyable.

The location. Only 30 minutes walk from keswick and minutes from some fantastic mountain treks. The staff were unbelievably friendly and could not do enough to make the stay as pleasurable as possible. Food was lovely, very tasty and good portions. Sitting with a pint of real ale next to a log fire after a day on the fells was just idealic.

Nothing really, although our room had not been reserved, but this turned out to be booking.com fault and not the coledale inn`s fault.

The hotel was a lovely clean homely place,with lovely views of skiddaw,the staff was very friendly,and helpful,lovely coal fire in the bar area,and the beds was so cosy,I would recommend this hotel.
