Comfy bed, clean and good location not far from Paddington.
Staff on duty were extremely helpful and well-trained. Comfortable and quiet. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
Had to push for slightly early check-in so that we could get changed in time for a wedding. Reservation manger was less than helpful the first time I asked.
great bed, location is definitelly a big plus...classic atmosphere, wonderful staff and the adorable (resident) cat.
we were placed at the topmost floor---if you have heavy luggage, good luck, because the old school elevator with accordion doors do not reach there. the room we were given was too small and the door had lots of spaces that let the light from the hallway through. bathroom was outdated.
Stayed in one of the attached 3BR apartments, was very good to have room for the family to spread out (over 5 main rooms). Nice area.
Local tube station is (just) in zone 2, although it is only a 10 min walk to Paddington.
Room excellent Situation excellent Friendly and helpful receptionists Very pleasant stay
The Bar and breakfast area. Would have used the bar more if it was in more pleasant surroundings. Needs a facelift Had a problem with booking earlier in the year
The tube was just across the road. It was in a residential area and we felt really safe. The character of the hotel was delightful. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
The bathroom towel rail was on constantly so it made the bathroom very hot. The staff are slow to serve you if you were outside. The bedroom was small, the throw on the bed had seen better days, should be thrown out.
Staff very attentive and professional.
Very old lift does not go to top floor. The area on the bathroom door where the lock is was absolutely filthy so either needs cleaning or decorating.
I love the location . I like the beautiful reception area . I like the cat .
I think staffs can be a bit more welcoming. The room given to us was far too small. The shower temperature was hopeless.
The staff was very nice but spoke very little English. The rooms do have AC but it doesn't work very well. My family had two rooms on different floors and both rooms were very warm!!
It was perfect for what I required The staff were very helpful, welcoming and polite
Well I did bang my leg twice on the corner of the drawers giving me two big bruises x I guess you call that getting out of the wrong side of bed in the morning
Spent four nights here. Room was clean, bed comfortable, the history of the hotel was interesting, lovely staff. Close to tube-station. The walk to Regents park and Camden was lovely. Good cafes for breakfast closeby.
the hotel is located in a quiet and very nice place, the hotel's decoration is Victorian and comfortable, the tube station is just 100 m away.
most of the staff at concierge were not friendly. I booked a suite for 7 days stay and although the room itself was very nice, outside one of the window there was a ventilation fan of the hotel's kitchen working from 6 am till 10 pm. For such a long stay they should offer me a better placed accommodation.
Great location in Little Venice very close to the tube. Rooms with lots of character and style. Very friendly and helpful staff. Leafy and quiet street, small family run restaurants and bars nearby
Great value for money by booking in advance, and an upgrade on top.
Full English breakfast is expensive but there are other options.
the style of the hotel
they didn't have our booking and they didn't have any twin beds left (which we booked) they gave us the flat to compensate but the bedrooms were on different floors and my daughter did not feel safe. there was not adequate security on the front door. staff were limited as bank holiday and only one person working in the restsurant
The decor inside which was like new victorian!
The room was on the 4th floor and the lift stopped at the third floof. Narrow sr=taircase made it difficult to cary the cases up.
We have been travelling for the last 4 months in a row and found the hospitality of the hotel very warm. The staff at the reception made us feel at home. They were all very kind . We choose the location in Little Venice because we were on a family visit who is living at 3 minutes walk from the hotel but we could move to all the other parts of ondon because the Warwick metro station is a 2 minutes walk.
The size of the bed...it could have been a king size considering te size of the room.
The staff were very helpful
Rooms were a bit dated
Very attentive service with attention to detail.
The location is great for me in an area I know and very close to Warwick Ave tube as well as walking distance to Paddington. The beds are comfortable and the staff friendly. I like the old fashioned lift with its two doors
The central heating was set on tropical and difficult to tame with the in room controls. Bizare noises through the bath plug hole that must be something to do with antique plumbing - noisy but not a real problem - just rather disconcerting as I was not in the bathroom at the time. The most irritating thing was to find the kitchen shut and the chef "gone home" at 8.45pm on a Sunday so I had to get up and go out to eat when I had been anticipating a night in with room service.
Extremely comfortable room. Loved the little extras - chocolates on your pillow, newspapers, shoe shine, slippers. Fantastic location. Staff made us feel very welcome.
Location, while slightly out of the way for most London attractions, was in a lovely area and great for a stroll on a Sunday morning around the Little Venice area.
To be fair the room which was booked was described as 'small', however, there was only room for one bedside cabinet and the bathroom was very small. The space for the toilet (between the sink and the shower) was very compact. I am a uk size 12 (us size 8) and my husband is approximately 13.5 stone and we found the space 'tight'. Care should, therefore, be taken when booking a small room. The room would also have benefitted from some updating (eg replacement tile grouting in the shower etc).
the location, the kindness of the staff
the lift was being fixed during the 2 last days of my stay!!
Tube noise in the basement rooms
