The staff were very friendly.
There was a lot of builders etc staying.
Quiet room. Ease of checking in
No parking and no alternative given Rudeness of the staff Burnt toast Microwaved eggs
food was good
décor was dated
breakfast was good
walls a bit thin, kept awake by pesky next door guests
Friendly Staff, Good food, but on the whole I had a good stay at this hotel. Some of the write ups do not do it justice
The wait at breakfast was to long, Creaking floorboards
Friendly staff. Fine full English breakfast.
Distinct smell in the rooms. Pillows not the most fragrant, smelt a bit like mould. Showers on the top floor had very little power. At 68 pounds per night, I wouldn't recommend this place if you have an alternative.
Comfy cosy bed
Lots of hairs on the bathroom floor
The chef was the only saving grace for this dirty smelly place, I needed to get the coach early so he did me a breakfast in a take away, very much appreciated.
Wallpaper pulled off, dirt so old on skirting boards it has stuck, carpet stained and sticky, couple of feet of coving broken off wall, very badly finished and very tired, send Alex Politzi the Hotel inspecter round, it smelt so much I had to buy a scented candle, if they didnt have my card details I would not have stayed, it was disgusting/
Good size car park
Breakfast was not nice and beds were very old and uncomfortable
Good breakfast , freshly cooked and well presented .
Bedroom mirror left propt up against wall in room and obviously a job unfinished as screws left lying on table in room and dust from drilling holes in wall was left lying in the room. Also on arrival and departure no staff at reception and on departure no payment card machine working as staff had forgotten to charge up . So unable to pay by card.
Lack of real butter at breakfast.
Good space for a single room. Clean and well serviced each day Excellent breakfast - good quality, and plentiful Comfy bed Very good value Friendly staff
Rather noisy - ground floor at the front.with obtrusive traffic noise Small TV which was set high up - not comfortable to watch
Location was good in relation to the town centre
It was dirty! 1 drawer had Remains of drug use left in it, it was so dusty that I could write my name in it, bottle tops were left IN the bed. My daughter (4years old) picked up used chewing gum off the window sill and then again off the side of the bath! All of the furniture was mis matched and for a family room we got 3 single beds instead of a double and a single as requested. No hangers in the wardrobe, carpets stained wallpaper peeling off- would never stay here again even if it was free
Wall paper hanging off walls, dirty tissues all over the floors cupboards missing door handles draws brown with sharp edges. Bathroom door didnt open or close shower door was stuck and fell off when opened. Shower didnt work covered in black ??? Black mould all over shower and walls. Estate out back of hotel with cars and people seem to hang out till 3 am on Sunday mornings. This room was £95 for a tripple 2 adults and one 6 year old it was not worth £10 a night the ibbis hotel is 10 minutes away and same price this hotel should not be on bookings.com the hotel was the worse I have ever been in and children should not ever stay at this hotel.
Poor cleanliness and grubby decor.?
Provision of a free travel cot. Free car parking.
Standard of cleanliness was poor. Corridors to bedroom smelly. Double bed in room was broken. Breakfast only served to 9.30 at weekend. Reception not 24hrs. We would not return.
breakfast and service v good
very bad wifi connection
The breakfast was great. Gayle couldn't do enough to make sure you were happy
Very noisy from traffic with windows open
Breakfast was good when it appeared.
Slow on filling up breakfast waited 15 mins for bacon and then eggs. No milk on table for tea had to keep going to the jug that was being used for cereals.
Extremely poor water pressure for the shower, it took an age to get the soap off. Every room we have stayed in at the Columbia has the same problem.
Great breakfast, evening meals very good, rooms spacious, staff excellent.
Good location & close to the centre of wellingborough.
No underground parking as stated on the website. Small Parking area & we were lucky to squeeze into a space. The room was very dated & basic. We found a half eaten biscuit in the drawer of the dressing table. The room was very warm - no air con just a small window to open. The receptionist was unproffesional & stated she didn't like to check people in.. (isn't that her job?)
Friendly welcoming helpful
