Staff were friendly & helpful. Room was clean & tidy. Would stay again as perfect location in town center & staff couldn't do enough to help.
Room was a little tired around the edges but gave it character. We were made aware of the noise from hotels own dj's but wasn't too much of an issue.
Old style rooms with beautiful Decore. Well utilised spaces privacy. Very nice bathroom all in all was very nice
Alarm at 11 pm to 8 am. But still was manageable
Me and my partner booked a last minute night away in this accommodation. The room was lovely, with all the facilities we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Located in central Chester, excellent for exploring the area, but can become noisy in the night. However we would definitely stay again! Thanks for a lovely stay.
My room was lovely, the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to welcome me.
Unfortunately I was not keen on the location and didn't like leaving my car in the multi storey nor walking the back streets to the hotel at night alone. Permission to use the empty car park close by would have suited me much more
Room was Great. Central Location
Finding the hotel.
Staff and room excellent. Only complaint would be that we were woken up early in morning by music from manager living quarters above. Other than that was excellent and will definitely return.
Had to wait 40 mins and get booking site to call manager to let us in!!
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and he loved it. We had the top suite and it was perfect. It was spotless and very grand. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely book there again.
It was noisy at night but that was the only downfall.
Good all round except a hotel which advertises wi-fi in the room should be sure to make it available
We were on semi-business, no wi-fi meant a money-loss for us
The bed was comfortable Breakfast was nice Waitress pleasant
The sofa was uncomfortable It felt like you were in a pub not a hotel Hair in coffee No parking Nearby parking not very well directed. Lots of noise outside at 3-4 am
fabulous food fabulous suite
slightly pricey but great
Contemporary style of bedroom, spacious and good quality bathroom.
In general, this is not an ideal venue for those on business as no breakfast or checkout available before 8am. Terminology of this being a hotel isn't quite accurate - best described as being just rooms above a pub with no services. No hairdryer or iron advertised/available? Stairways could do with lighting. Poor bedding quality and flea in bed, and room maintenance could be improved, plus switches in room did not appear to work? Carpet needs a clean.
location was good for race course & shopping as was in centre of town.
disco right underneath our room another disco in courtyard right outside our window & yes another disco in bar at back of hotel.they all played till 3.00 a.m it was more like a pub where all the locals came with 3 bouncers on the doors I should say nightclub. never stay there again.

Very convenient for city centre. Lovely room and bathroom.
Bit noisy during night, with noise coming from street.
The noise. We booked here, and received a voicemail 3 days before our stay warning that there would be music in the bar until 3 AM. By this time it was too late to book elsewhere, so we decided to take our chances. We were greeted by THUMPING dance music, in a room directly UNDERNEATH our SUITE. Imagine trying to sleep in a disco. We turned around & walked out. 150 quid room - terrible service. It does warn about music on the booking page, however the warning does NOT prepare you for the amount of noise produced. The manager on duty was completely unhelpful, rude and didn't seem to care about his (paying) customers one whit. We shall NEVER be staying here again.
Clean, well situated, fun friendly atmosphere, live music followed by dj set.
Everything, the breakfast was first class.
The size of rooms Breakfast Staff and service Price Music
Perhaps checkout could be later than the standard 11am at weekends due to the load music until 3am,as it can be heard throughout the rooms. However this is a suggestion not a complaint. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Central for visiting/site seeing the City.
To many stairs (Listed building. What can you expect?). Nice room facilities, but needs proper maintenance management. Stair carpets leading from first floor kitchen area filthy dirty due to the spillage of food? etc....
A very nice hotel, the room was lovely and the staff helpful. Lovely food at breakfast.
whilst we were warned about the noise it would not suit everybody as it is very loud. It did not bother us but would some people. Because it is above a pub at breakfast the next morning it does have a slightly stale smell as they are cleaning up after the night before during breakfast.
Although we were told the noise would be a problem, it was fine during the week. It is only weekends that there is noise and they are clear to advise of that. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms were great. Will be back!
The hotel staff were welcoming and always on hand to help. The in house entertainment was excellent. The whole experience was like staying in a family home.
We had the Suite, which was lovely and well presented. The Location was perfect as it is pretty much Central and all the staff when needed where extremely helpful. Even the music playing in the courtyard until 3am wasn't an issue. We had a great time, and if you are looking for somewhere to have a drink other than the Hotel, check out The Botanist, what a great bar.
Our only gripe was the heat of the room, as you go up the stairs you can just feel it getting hotter and hotter, but it was one of the hottest weekends of the year so can't put it all on the hotel.
