In the centre of Wishaw, the Commercial Hotel boasts a bar/restaurant and on-site nightclub. It offers individually decorated rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking. At the Commercial, rooms are decorated in a blend of wood panelling and stone walls. Some rooms have fireplaces and all rooms feature a plasma-screen TV with Freeview channels, work desk and bathroom. The Commercial Bar serves pub favourites and pizzas. Snacks and cakes are also available and the food is home-cooked using local ingredients. The nightclub features live bands and boasts 2 resident DJs. It is open Thursday-Saturday until 3am. The bar also provides entertainment including music, karaoke and sports on TV. Low Parks Museum, the Time Capsule Water Park and Chatelherault Country Park are within 20 minutes’ drive. This Hotel/Bar/NightClub has just been done up to a very good standard. We booked for location to a function. As a one night budget room goes we could not have been happier- everything was just lovely including the Staff. Breakfast could have been better...

The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Although the room was small it was very well appointed and comfortable. It was also very secure. No particular dislikes - it was ideal for my purposes.

The room was fabulous, really comfy bed and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We had breakfast in the hotel and my partner was served a glass with lipstick on it. There was also some plastic and a hair in his English breakfast. It put us off a bit. Other than that, it was great!

The room was clean and modern. Only stay at this hotel if you are planning to go out until 3am. We booked the 'family' room of this hotel, as we have a 3yr old and 4yr old. On first arriving everything seemed ok...but then evening came around. The music from downstairs came belting into the room. There was no chance of getting the kids to sleep, and we had to make the decision to up sticks and leave at 11.30pm. Upon contacting the hotel the next day, we were told that it was our error for booking a hotel with them and that we would not receive any of our money back - not even for the breakfasts that we had paid for in advance. No apologies, no nothing.

We were actually visiting the Edinburgh Festival, and I was looking for something near the M74 and M8 for easy access to Edinburgh and down South that was better value than the hotels in Edinburgh. Wishaw proved a good base location to stay. The room was brilliant - there were two of us, but it had one double bed and 2 singles, huge flat screen TV, - all looked newly furbished. Never heard any noise from the pub, and the pub looked really good too for food etc..

The fact it was conveniently close to my mothers house. My stay included Monday to Friday. Most evenings were quiet, however Thursday evening was very noisy due to a musical function being on. Having said that it did stop at 12 midnight.

Very noisy, bar at ground floor with horrible music buzzing all over night hanged me in the morning , even after complain, they prefer their bar business than hotel guest comfort, In the reception, very loud bar music cant follow anything there, when I complained ,they gave me a small room to sleep, my money went worthless. such a very bad hotel i ever stayed. my recommendation, they should stop hotel business, i spoke my other collegues who stayed at hotel for medical exam,same feelings. they should do only bar business and should not advert in booking .com

Very friendly and helpful staff... Even allowed us to leave our luggage there after checking out (As we were there to attend a post grad exam, leaving the luggage there and not having to drag the luggage along to the exam is a relief!) Can be a bit noisy at times...
