The room was comfortable and had character. The thermostatic shower was particularly easy to use - best of any hotel we have used recently. |

A great atmosphere in the pub downstairs, it was nice hanging out, playing pool, drinking some beer and then going straight upstairs. Helpful advice when looking for a spot to watch the Atlantic sunset. Very uncomfortable bed, soft and small. Of eight double rooms we stayed in on our trip, this bed was by far the smallest and least comfortable. |

The room is very clean. The complimentary items (e.g. drinks, biscuits) in the room are very thoughtful. The staff was quick to replace and missing complimentary items in the room even at the point of checkout. The staff were very helpful in getting us to our rooms and guiding us to the restaurant where breakfast is served. The fried toast served in the breakfast menu was too oily. Probably would be better replaced with an additional egg. The toast was also slightly burnt. |

Lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and complimentary wine and water a really nice touch. The man that checked us out gave us fantastic tips on photographic places and tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cornwall. the window of our bathroom was above the glass roofed restaurant which made going to the bathroom in the evening uncomfortable as people could see in with the lights on!! |

The breakfast was very good. Sausages especially tasty. And, the idea of leaving mini wine bottles and water was great. |

The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and value fo rmoney. The "Conservatory" was closed except for breakfast, so the only place to eat dinner was in the public bar which was very smelly (smoke and stale beer just like a typical old pub public bar), No way could we eat in that atmosphere, otherwise we would have eaten in the Conservatory if it had been open. Your website showed photos of the Conservatory as the dining room which was misleading. |

The hotel is shown as being in the 'Four Star' category. I would definitely say that it is not four-star. In my opinion it is a good quality two-star pub/restaurant/hotel. In saying this, I am not saying that I was disappointed. The hotel was excellent value for the price. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good and plentiful. The evening meals were also good value. |

Hotel was fine but £69.00 for a Mon night in Oct is overpriced in my opinion. Price of around £55.00 would be more appropriate for this quality of hotel at this time of the year. |

The wifi works very well, the complimentary water & wine in the rooms are a nice surprise, food very tasty and staff very professional, always helpful. Found the mattress a bit thin but it's just personal taste. The overall experience was a delight. |

convenient position excellent freshly cooked breakfast, very clean room complimentary wine could improve by providing bath sheets instead of bath towels but really a minor issue |
