Staff very friendly, good food, great room - maybe just a bigger desk and a proper desk chair may have helped. Jo is a star!
very clean with individual decor finished to a high standard
we could not stay longer. no negative points re the room
The rooms are done to a very high standard and very friendly and welcoming staff
Bed was too hard and bumpy. We also had issues getting a cab so book one before you get their.
The pub is small, quirky and has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Food is delicious. The room (old bob) was very spacious, exceptionally clean, with huge wet room! Couldn't fault anything.
Possibly could have provided a hair dryer, not a huge worry though.
Friendly, clean, modern, comfortable - everything you could want for.
Beer and food excellent Comfortable and quiet room
Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Staff very helpful . Room spotless.bed so comfortable.best nights sleep ive ever had.food delicious and good prices nice choice of foods.
There was nothing i didn't like. Cant fault it in anyway.
Easy to find IF you turn left at the T junction on entering the hamlet. The rooms are welcoming, modern, very clean and well equipped. Bed was comfy and the linen smelt lovely and fresh. Shower room though small, had all that was needed. Mini hairdryer, but it packs a punch! Pub offers good food and friendly service. Car parking at the rear.
All rooms have showers, no baths. Room was cold on entry as was the bathroom. The underfloor heating takes a while to kick in.The heated towel rail in the bathroom was off and again had to wait for it to heat up. To be fair it was a very cold night and the annexes sit alone so have mainly outside walls.
I could not fault the room in respect of comfort, furnishings etc. Staff very friendly and food excellent. I stayed 2 nights due to working nearby and hope to return.
Finding it was difficult as using sat nav took me in wrong direction out of the village. Would benefit from a sign at the cross roads.
Great bed, great shower, clean, location, hospitality, pub on location, out of hours entry, tea coffee, biscuits replenished daily, value for money, hairdryer, parking, modern facilities, unique old hotel, great menu, .excellent, what more can we say.
Nothing, we will be back
The choice of real ale Well equipped room in annexe
Snow in the morning
A lovely B&B in the countryside. Nice rooms separated from the cosy busy pub.
Staff were very friendly. Rooms very warm and clean and homely. Food and beer spot on.
Choice of great beer Choice of food Pub atmosphere Comfortable accommodation Value for money
A traditional pub hotel with a friendly welcome, good food and comfortable room.
The Staff were friendly, food was excellent, the accommodation outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely go back.
Awesomely comfortable beds. Food was tasty and plentiful. Good WiFi, made up for lack of Orange phone signal in room. Pub lovely and warm - great as it was really frosty outside!
Couldn't seem to get the room warm, but we only stayed one night. Heated towel rail didn't work. Food/wine slightly pricey, but was very nice.
rooms superbly appointed, good heating, very clean
The service was great, staff were very kind and made feel very welcome, and ensured that I had everything I needed. The food was very good
There was nothing I didn't like
Room modern, warm and confortable. Amenities (soap & shampoo) supplied. Lovely quiet location. Handy for the pub. Nice cooked breakfast - Full English or nice alternative. Friendly staff.
I liked absolutely everything about the place. Everything. Food is great, beer is great, service is great, location is great and staff are great. Rooms are fantastic, clean, warm and snug with mega comfy beds and good hot showers that don't scald one second and freeze the next like most. We're Customers for life just don't change a thing.
remote, takes a little finding but what you get is a proper pub, small, real ale and good food, dont expect a big menu choice the place is just too small for that, i travel a lot i can honestly say the room i stayed in was the quietest, cleanest and well presented i have seen in the UK spotless, breakfast very nice. well worth a try, a little step back in history with all the rooms being external to the pub and modern
just finding the place, your sat nav will get you there from the post code, just turn left when you get to the village not right where the sat nav will send you some single track roads and a few potholes - take it slow
I liked the atmosphere in the pub. The beer and food were excellent and the service very good. My room was at the side of the pub on a quiet road. Full English breakfast was excellent as well.
The room was very modern and clean, and a good size. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the pub.
Excellent and characterful pub Excellence self contained accommodation
Room could have been warmer Breakfast a bit limited
