Location / very friendly and helpful staff / big bedrooms & bathrooms - easy access to Land Rover experience / nice restaurant / room service food options
Uncomfortable bed. Bedding too warm. Bathroom sink dirty. Foisty / musty smell always in bathroom (Room 65).
Nice place the lake is realy nice
The location. The staff were very friendly attentive and efficient.
The bedding was really poor quality. The bed clothing consisted of a thin blanket over a poor quality sheet. The base sheet was too small so kept rucking up. The pillows were thin and hard. The food was poor value for money.
Excellent quality bedroom
The meal in the Huntsman Lodge. The fireplace is the making of this room.
There wasnt anything we didnt like
Not given the correct room when we booked in but sorted very quickly.
On arrival the reception staff were so friendly and informative which continued during our stay. We enquired about a room upgrade as we were celebrating my husband's birthday. The room we were allocated was very spacious with all the extras you would expect including a balcony (which would be great in the summer) together with a complementary bottle of wine and chocolates. The food throughout our stay was delicious.
This is our fourth stay at this hotel and this time we were lucky to have a view over the lake. The staff here are always friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the Huntsman lounge and this time there was a good selection of vegetarian meals available.
Unfortunately we found the noise from the bathroom in the room next to us a little noisy! It felt like the toilet flushing was coming from our bathroom. I think a hotel of this calibre should have better sound proofing between rooms! If you don't eat a large breakfast you might find the cost of breakfast -£14.50 each a little steep.
We always enjoy staying here, the staff are very helpful & friendly & the food is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable & well equipped. Our small dog stays with us & there are some lovely walks on the estate. We keep going back, what more can I say?
We have stayed here a few times, (with our small dog). All the staff are so helpful & friendly. We like dining in The Huntsmans bar/restaurant, lovely views & a fire in winter. The rooms are very comfortable & well equipped & some have a fridge. AND its Dog Friendly! We keep going back. What more can I say?
Very friendly & professional staff. High standards of service & cleanliness. Excellent breakfast selection & standard Hotel position & grounds
Whilst food is by no means bad it seems to lag slightly behind the general high standards offered by the hotel. For example dessert selection was fairly mundane & uninspiring.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Function food and breakfast very good.
Free wi fo did not work in bedroom. Not enough seating in bar area
Staff - all very friendly - especially Rosie on reception!
Everything was fine.
helpful and friendly staff Good Food[but- minor complaint- Kipper at breakfast too big and messy. The excellent Bread and butter pudding at Dinner was too small.] Petty complaints!
Nothing but would be nice if you had a swimming pool
The staff on arrival and throughout our stay were very pleasant and accommodating, the outlook from both the lounge and bedroom was excellent.Would return again.
We felt that the menu was a little lacking in choice, possibly needs to be a little wider in the selections.
Helpful, friendly staff. Excellent food. Very comfortable room.
Location was excellent, plenty to do in the estate and surrounding area. Breakfast had a good selection and great quality.
A whistle stop tour to attend a friends 21st. Lovely hotel, very friendly, excellent party and delicious breakfast. Outstanding views - we hope to return.
room space was poor
The spaciousness of the room (we were upgraded), the views from its terrace, the ambiance of the bar / restaurant and good service.
Would have been lovely to sit outside, but the weather was cold and wet and that is not their fault. Staff very friendly.
Our bedroom was cold on arrival. Called the desk and they came and showed us how to turn the radiator on. I could not work out the shower. An instruction might be useful.
Being chased after when leaving the restaurant to check if we had paid or signed for a meal. Left a bit of a nasty taste and we did not go back to the restaurant the next day. TV in the bar.
We asked for a circular table, and this was laid out beautifully. Staff were attentive, friendly with no over the top pandering.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Faulty fire alarm in my room at 2am!!
