Room very well appointed and spacious. Outstanding view over lake, meadow and out to moorland hillside. Bathroom/showerroom excellent Balcony a bonus. Choice of eating venues very good. We chose the bar area as very bright and spacious. The food was very good both in variety, quality. All staff were very friendly and efficient. Couldn't have asked for better few days stay.
There was nothing wrong in any respect.
The Location and the Food
Dog Facilities were great but need more bins for dog poo !
Friendly staff High standard of room Beautiful grounds
Looking forward to addition of spa
Friendliness of staff so genuine. Very relaxing surroundings, food excellent, view of lake stunning.
The room was fantastic. We had a luxury room, it was large, very well equipped and the bathroom was superb with lots of space with a bath & walk in shower. This hotel is spotless & the staff are exceptionally helpful & polite.
Our only gripe was that there is no fresh fruit available at breakfast.
Location, Hotel, Staff, Food, Great
Child in room above crying for a very long time
Location, the views and the hunters bar.
I loved the hotel but for me the beds were to hard so I had a restless night.
Very nice hotel in lovely surroundings staff very helpful and plesant food was value for money and rooms comfortable and clean
We took our family dog Ayla and she was able to going with us for our dinner/breakfast with at the hotel. The hotel grounds was brilliant for dog walks and we had a great lawn area outside of our room. Ayla had lots of fun meeting other dogs which was staying at the hotel, we all can't wait to return to the coniston hotel in the near future
Service was excellent, all requests cheerfully granted. The view and the lake are beautiful.
Location was good and the superior room was large and comfortable. The en-suite was of a good size. Bed was huge but a little bit high.
Window view was of the car park and the busy A65. Laundry delivery woke us up in the morning. Worst thing was the lighting did not work properly. Even after mentioning a flicking light it was still not possible to switch off the main lights. Toilet handle very loose and a mirror light was out. We were offered a discount.
Good breakfast and well presented dinners. Well appointed rooms. Fabulous views from rooms overlooking the lake.
Lack of spa facilities.
Room, Bathroom, Dining Room Reception Staff very helpful
Lorry trailer about 40ft/50ft view outside Superior Bedroom, annoying. Bathroom no ledge to put toiletries. No proper lounge corridor. Cooked breakfast £14.50. expensive, gave a miss went to Settle.

chairs too low in huntsman. hotel needs a spa facility.
Excellent hotel and staff were so helpful and accommodating. Very good restaurants, lovely grounds.
Wifi was atrocious and T.V. Was minute. Some facilities missing in disabled room bathroom.
Lovely room with quiet country views and a nice sit out area.
Friendly, family run, stunning location and dog friendly.
Did not have time to do the walk round the lake or falconry experience!
Friendly staff who catered for special dietary requests without any problems, good local knowledge, whole place was clean and welcoming, with a lovley menu using local produce.
Lack of spa
Great surrounding countryside. Comfortable rooms and beds. Quiet overnight. Private terrace area to room overlooking the lake. All the food - fantastic quality.
Intermittent WiFi signal
Everything about the hotel, ambience, venue, staff ( whatever their job was) for politeness and courtiousness. Cleanliness of every area, bedrooms, dining rooms, lounge/bar, cloakrooms. Friendliness of staff without being obtrusive.. Helpfulness of housekeeper/barstaff/diningroom manager and staff/reception staff. A huge thank you to everyone at Conistan Hortel for making our stay so memorable.
TV in lounge/bar. Lack on pool/spa etc (but I understand this is 'work in progress') No other activities available if weather was bad.
Lovely location and very scenic.
No pool/ spa facilities which I would of expected with price.
Restaurants were too open, not very cosy, lights too bright. Food however was excellent.
Rooms were spacious and pristine clean
Limited menu Staff untrained Overcharged several times and had to challenge. Room paid for did not match description, no balcony as advertised
