The Coppice    

This was a nice relaxing environment lots of places for eating, enjoyed going on the lake would go back again.

Breakfast was easily the highlight of our 2 day stay.

Our bedroom was at the top of steep stairs which is a challenge for a senior couple. Our bedroom was small but comfortable. However the bathroom is best described as a shower and toilet in a cupboard - it was very awkward !

Toilet and shower far too small. Bedroom decor needs updating, definitely to a more relaxing colour than the current yellow / orange. Wi-Fi slow.

The food was absolutely lovely - a great selection of breakfasts every morning, cooked to perfection! Very friendly and accommodating. A handy location - a very enjoyable 10-15 minute walk to Bowness. It was one of the best holidays we've been on - we had an amazing time. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would like to make Windermere one of our regular holiday destinations.

It would have been nice to have been closer to the lakes or to the centre of Bowness, but it wasn't too far away. The rooms were quite small and the bed was a bit too soft for us, but this was ok for only two of us for only a few nights.

The owners were very friendly cooked a great breakfast,very helpful taking time to point us in the right direction so that we got the most out of stay in the area.

Small very cold bathroom. Loud domestic in the kitchen on both days made us nervous.

The breakfasts were to die for with all the locally produced ingredients, next time will book full board to see if the chef is as good with other meals. I would recommend the hotel as a nice comfortable place to stay

My sat nav didn't seem to want to help finding the Coppice Hotel so had to revert to the tried & tested method of asking what appeared to be a local inhabitant & as I only left the Lake District in 1957 she was able to understand my accent. So success.

The breakfast was excellent.

The bedroom was very small and the ensuite was so small you could hardly squeeze in. Okay for 2 nights but not for any longer. Also the room was very cold on arrival .radiator not switched on until we arrived .Took a couple of hours to warm up.

Barbers was a star very friendly!!!!!

Good location for exploring Windermere & surrounding area Staff very welcoming, helpful & friendly. Food excellent & plentiful.

En suite facilities small in our room, OK for us on this trip,but if backpacking or indulging in energetic pursuits would have needed a bath as well as shower. Bed could have been more comfortable, but at home have a fully adjustable orthopedic bed so am probably spoiled and not a fair judge.

On arrival we were made very welcome and the hostess was very informative. The room was very clean and cosy and the spa bath was excellent. The hotel was very private and the home cooked breakfast was excellent.

Barbara and Chris made the weekend a very pleasurable experience, lovely warm and friendly, food was delicious and very central for both windermere centre and bowness. the complimentary spa facilities were excellent.

Cold welcome, no heating on arrival Dated decor en suite too small Male proprieter tried to change the charge for the room on cancelling 4 days to one, even after being told by yourselves and would not budge, although not agressive used bully tactics,
