Country cuisine - huge portions - food really well presented and designed - excellent wine list - gourmet cooking in a Robust Country Style - amazing accommodation - what a bed !! Best nights sleep in a hotel I've ever had.
Nothing not to like here. Can't wait to go again
IT IS THE FOURTH TIME WE HAVE STAYED AND HAVE NOT FOUND ANY FAULTS YET
good menu able to work and relax in the restaurant, see you next year
The ambience a Manor house with the slightly quirky décor.- loved it. The Restaurant was great We love Indian Food so great for us! Prices very reasonable too for dinner and drinks in that kind of setting..
Wished it had been a King size bed in our room not a double wished I had cheked
The staff were really good and very helpful. The food served in the main bar was excellent and value for money, The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very clean.
The breakfast seemed good but was in our opinion over priced especially when the evening meal was of such a high standard and good value for money. There seemed to be a small issue with the heating system in our room and we struggled to reduce the heating to a comfortable temperature for us to be able to get a good night's sleep (although this may now be fixed as the staffwere very receptive when we nonotified them of the issue).
Decor was fresh and modern Quiet and private rooms Comfortable bed Large TV Lovely pub next door
Lovely room comfortable bed and in a nice setting. we stayed for 2 Nights would definatly stop again.
We were told we could check out between 10.30am and 11am. We had the maid knock on our door at 9.45am then was waiting outside the door to clean as we were leaving with her arms folded. Found it extremely rude
The room and decor was fantastic. Modern but whilst keeping the older theme. It was close to Shrewsbury town for shopping. The food was lovely and served quickly. I would recomend it to others.
When we arrived we were shown to our room and were given an upgraded room. We thought they had done as the hotel was quiet that weekend. However when we came to check out they wanted to charge us for the upgrade when I had orginally booked a cheaper room. Despite this, the staff were very helpful and refunded us the difference for the mix up.
Stunning views from a clean comfortable bedroom. Friendly staff.
Very quiet so lacked a bit of atmosphere.
We were travelling to Wales and decided to break our journey, I'm so glad we did. The room was large and clean and the food delicious. The staff very very helpful, couldn't have asked for more.
Beautiful scenery, good food and drinks.
Out of town a bit and roads a little confusing. Shower room in twin room was extremely tight fit and nowhere to hang towels or clothes.
Lovely room in the building joined to the bar restaurant...check in easy and staff showed me to my room at the top of the building ,, Lovely and clean ate dinner and breakfast there both very nice Good nights sleep no noise I would return
Room had no view just ltiled roof Food a little overpriced but good
Close to Shrewsbury but in a very peaceful location. Easy to get to park and ride.
The staff were very very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Good quality ingredients used for breakfast.
Atmosphere a bit sterile - almost too clean and a bit anodyne, but that's a minor gripe!
we loved everything and begged to stay new years eve 2014 one of the owners sue spoke to us and day after our return home phoned to say we had been accommodated cant wait to return now class all staff as friends
nothing to dislike
We liked the friendly staff, the four poster room with a view and the food.
Good location, nice room, staff friendly, all what we needed for few days away
The family room was big and everything layed out tidy. beds were very comfortable. shower was brilliant. The staff were very good as was the food and beer!
Warm friendly atmosphere
Can't think of anything we didn't like
Fire alarm going off just after 7 on a Sunday morning
location, layout, quality of food and presentation. Good variety of House wines, plenty of parking. Most excellent Hotel/Inn. All credit to the staff and management.
Food good. Wine good. Staff friendly. Lovely bedroom.
There needs to be an area where there are comfortable chairs where one can read and relax.
