The Cormorant Hotel  

We had a lovely 3 nights stay in a beautiful location with wonderful views. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful - food excellent, especially the eggs florentine at breakfast time.

View from room over the river. Quiet location. Food and wine list.

Infrastructure and decoration of the hotel was mixed. As a result didn't have any consistent character.

The room view, couteous staff, flexibily for meals and food, very comfortable bed, room spacious and clean, excellent en suite, food delicious, extensive and very good wine list, comfortable and friendly lounge, all members of staff extremely helpful, semi-formal yet relaxed atmosphere

The views were amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Dining was a real pleasure and the facilities second to none. A most agreeable experience and one I intend to have again in the summer.

The view over the River Fowey was amazing and the food was as good as I have had in Michelin starred restaurants.

Very steep entrance to car park (but it helped to improve my driving skills!)

Although the main meals were gourmet they were not to our taste unfortunately we realised too late that had we spoken out sooner we could have requested alternatives.

The room was lovely with fantastic views over the estuary. The hotel was very peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and had lots of choices.

Lovely everything about this hotel. Service from staff was fantastic and make you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel. Had pool and hot tub all to ourselves. All rooms have fantastic views. Food in restaurant and breakfast was excellent. could not fault it. Was excellent value for money. Would have paid double and still of been happy.

Room 10 folding shower doors are awkward finger trappers which do not close properly a shower curtain would be more suitable sliding door does not close properly also the toilet roll holder is in an awkward position that it is difficult to access and one can also receive burn from the towel rail whilst doing so

Small tv, fires were not kept up , not enough milk for tea and coffee in the room and after dinner coffee was extra ?

Restaurant, room and view, small but adequate and clean bathroom.

No dress code in dining room.

This was a spur of the moment choice and was excellent on every level. The meal in the restaurant was probably one of the best we have ever had - the chef creates delicious, imaginative and attractive dishes - would have liked to stay longer to try all the choices. The room was comfortable with amazing views over the river. We would definitely like to return in the future.

Loved our stay here, room was perfect overlooking the river. The staff were pleasent and helpful. We will certainly come back.

The hotel is in a great location, excellent for relaxation with brilliant views over the estuary at any time of the day. The food was excellent and always served hot. The staff were always helpful and made you feel at home.

Slightly offhandedness of the owner. It seemed the owner was not happy that we had made the booking through you and the owner seemed to transfer her feelings on to us, or that is our perception. We had to change rooms as the room was not what I felt I had booked through you and we were immediately given a better room but charged £18 service charge for the move. I tried to speak to the owner about this before we left but she was in a meeting.

Very friendly, clean, comfortable and a wonderful view of the river. Food is good. Lovely to have the use of a swimming pool and hot tub.

Bed was too soft; bit of shabbiness.

The Cormorant is a set in a very peaceful location with a stunning view - even when its raining! It has a relaxed atmosphere with a very comfortable lounge area. The food is generally good with an imaginative menu for breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and everywhere was very clean.

The bathroom is quite small, with a narrow bath and I had a bit of a battle with the shower screen when taking a shower in the morning.

Would stay here again,everything about the Hotel was perfect
