The staff were very friendly and made the stay very nice

There is a night club right by the hotel. Don't expect to sleep before 2:30am. Now, the night club is free for customers at the Corn exchange.

Breakfast excellent. For what we paid value for money. Even thou there was a night club behind we really were not disturbed by it

Pillows no life in them, duvet did not fit bed, light over bed not working, toilet seat in room needs replacing, and in the Ladies toilets in the bar.

The proprieter was friendly

Quality of breakfast food was poor!!! Food greasy and drinks cold despite asking for coffee to be reheated!

Room above a nightclub! Room was dirty. The following night we were moved to another room but that was even dirtier. At breakfast I was given a dirty cup, I asked for it to be changed and the next one was also dirty with the lipstick still on the cup from the previous guest. I have been suffering from stomach issues since my stay! Thought the room was over priced. Pity as it could be a very nice venue with a few changes.

Nothing: Staff were not very helpful, The upper hall was fullof dirty laundry. The television did not work. No toilet rolls. No soap. Carpets dirty. No control over the way other guest s behave, had banging and door slamming from room next door up to beyond 3am Sunday morning. Would not stay again under any circumstances and would like my money back. I have spoken o the booking company and await there reply. y next stop is envoronmental health and trading standards.

art deco design polite and helpfull staff all you can eat buffet breakfast

seemed like the interiors were from the art deco period and serious upgrades are needed

Picked this hotel because it was the nearest I could get at the time It was comfortable and, the staff we met, friendly. Our friends live at Piltdown so it was further away from them as we wanted but neverless I would suggest your hotel to anyone visiting Eastbourne if they were unable to book elsewhere (nearer).

Two rooms were booked and in one of them no tea/coffee/milk etc. were put in it

We were in hailsham for a funeral of a member of our family we found the staff friendly the hotel was clean and the meals were excellent.

We were on the front of the hotel there was a lot of traffic noise plus noise from late night/early morning drinkers we slept with the window open because of the heat so if the window had been closed that would possibly have cut out some of the noise other relatives were at the back and heard none of this.

Better than expected from other comments. Clean bedding. Good full English breakfast.

Unfortunately problem with the loo mechanism but dealt with by staff

The toilet in room did not flush. I reported this but nothing was done. The soap shelf in shower was hanging of wall and the bathroom bin was in pieces. Breakfast should have been served from 8.30, I asked if this could possibly be changed to 8.15 as myself and 2 of my colleagues (3 rooms) had to be somewhere for 9am. A staff member said she would try to arrange this. Even at 8.30 there was no sign of any breakfast being on offer. Attempting to get a vat receipt on departure we had to get the manager out of bed which meant he was not in the best of moods and was quite rude.

It was convenient to stay there as we attended a wedding in the town. It was a fair price and included breakfast. The room was small but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfy and linen/towels were clean. It even had a hairdryer in the bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

The hotel has a nightclub attached which would be a problem if you wanted an early peaceful night! I took earplugs as I am a light sleeper and we didn't go to bed until midnight so it was fine. I wouldn't stay here for any length of time but as somewhere to lay your head for a night it was fine.

Room was clean but far to hot as we were above the kitchen and extractor was not far from our window . also if you are a light sleeper this is a no no as night club is next door but if you are going to night club its a must . Depends on what you want .

Some minor n oise from the night club, but not enough to stop me sleeping.

The Noise from the late night bar was ridiculous. There was big cobwebs in the bathroom (it was clean though)

It was noisy and dirty, the carpet was badly stained the bathroom had mould on the tile grouting. The bed was uncomfortable with wafer thin pillows.

Staff were all very helpful. It was very close to the venue we were attending,

They did not have our booking, but there were rooms available. It is very basic, but ok for 1 night.

Everything - on check in we had to be moved to another room because they couldn't find the key. Then they couldn't find the key to new room. Then once in room the toilet dripped and the bath / shower leaked all over floor. Then when trying to get back into property we couldn't because a key was missing. Then we were greeted by a police officer the next morning. Didn't get our complimentary breakfast because the whole place was shut... Had to go somewhere else and didn't get reimbursed... Disgusting would not recommend anyone to stay here.

It was close to amenities and the Hailsham Pavilion.

Although the bedding and the bathroom was clean, it was a bit 'frayed around the edges'. Only one cup on the tray (it was a twin room). No tumblers. Broken stool. No hangers in the wardrobe. Window frames needed cleaning. The breakfast range seemed a bit restricted, mainly cooked meals. There did not appear to be fruit juice or cereals. The food was a bit greasy.
