Very convenient for the centre of Taunton. Easy to find and has plenty of parking space. Compact Double was fine for one person, might be a bit tight for two. No comfortable chair in the room. Continental breakfast option was adequate but not very imaginative - not as good as the continental breakfast option offered by Premier Inns. |

Nothing reallly....the bar aand restaaurant were very nice but that was it really, also some of the staff were okay. Yes, the rooms were tired, we had booked a family room (apparently "suitable and comfy for a family) it was more llike a double room with a single bed stuck at the end of a double bed......so if there had been four of us we would have been in trouble) also one member oof staff was absolutely useless and ignorant........also no where for smokers....I know you can't smoke iinside now but I at least expect somewhere for smokers to go to have a cigarette rather than having to stand in the carpark iin the rain! |

Staff polite, bathroom well appointed, very clean. (And for the Receptionist..."Welcome" brought me back a few years!) Appears more suited to business people, from about 7.00am doors banging and quite noisy. Room extremely hot even though the radiators did not appear to be on and difficult to open window. Can't tick yes for recommend as stated more suited to business than leisure. |

The free wireless internet was very helpful. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was nice. It was good having a fridge in the room and the complimentary milk was a bonus. The fact that you did not have to have a noisy extractor fan on in the bathroom was a plus. Noise. In the first room I was put in (which was tiny), there was a constant hum going on all night as though it was next to machinery or a generator. In fact there seemed to be quite a few light fittings etc that buzzed as well and were quite irritating. The room I was moved to was on the main road and the fact that there was no d/glazing meant terrible traffic noise. There were a lot of awkward staircases in the hotel which made going up and down with luggage slightly treacherous. No plug by the bed meant you could not use a laptop on the bed. The kettles and cups were awkwardly positioned in a sort of underneath shelf. No heating in the bathrooms. |

The hotel is very nicely decorated, all the staff most friendly and helpful and the food was good The bed was too narrow and it would be nice if there was a sitting room but otherwise all was vey comfortable |

Very friendly helpful staff.Comfortable bed and good shower.Nice breakfast. Convenient location and easy to find. The room needed a little attention. The radiator was not working and there was no remote control for the TV. The staff were on the case to fix things the following morning. |

I thought the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful; a mixture of welcoming and attentive without being pushy. It was an enjoyable stay and I'd have been happy to stay longer if we could have done. |

New restaurant was good, staff were friendly, nice location Compact double room was small, but you expect that when it says 'compact'. OK for me but I wouldn't recommend for a couple. Daily room cleaning seemed like it was done in a rush and they didn't provide new shower gel, etc during the 5 days I was there. |

Nothing special but perfectly suitable for an overnight stay Not stopped in such a small hotel room for a long time. My double room would really only be suitable for one. |

Very little as my booking of the disabled room was unable to go ahead as the room had been used as a stroage facility. Staff offered me others rooms only to find they had not been cleaned - eventually I got a room (downstairs with a shower) 2 and a half hours later. At all times the staff were polite and respectful and I got a glass of wine offered for the inconvienience. Communication poor as I had phoned ahead to ensure I had an accessible room and was told it was booked for me - this had not been done and staff on duty had no idea about my request. The fact that alternative rooms were still not cleaned and beds not made at 4pm in the atftenoon and there were no staff on duty to rectify the situation! only 1 member of staff on duty! |

Close to town. Our room had been downgraded from family to double room, reception claimed my wife had phoned to do this. My wife would not have done this on the claimed date as it was a surprise for our 10th anniversary and I did not tell her until 2 days before. We spent our anniversary in seperate rooms with my wife having to share a bed with our 4 year old daughter who is hyperactive and hardly sleeps, so my wife did not sleep for 2 days and I could not help as I was in a seperate room. We had anoisy fan outside our rooms and it made no difference if the windows were open or closed, as they did not stop any noise at all. The second night we were staying my teenage son drove down and stayed in a seperate room in which the tv was missing. |

I liked the size of the room and layout especially the fact the bathroom was "attached" to the room rather than intruding inside. It made the room more spacious, restful and easy for two to manouver. The staff were friendly and the facilities to make your stay comfortable, were excellent. I didn't even have to ask for an iron! The wardrobe was a bit sparce and we were only staying one night! We both had posh clothes to wear for a funeral and it was a bit of a squeeze to get them hung up. Also there was no blind at the bathroom window and no where to hang coats other than the wardrobe area. |
